Be a part of an innovative impactful team.Key Qualifications:•Scripting experience in bash, Perl, Python or similar scripting language as well as be familiar with Unix level shell scripting, working knowledge of TCL a plus•Strong experience in crafting and building automated test frameworks for web and/or mobile applications•Knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, and debugging•Triage and diagnose issues with a multi-functional team from diverse engineering backgrounds•Knowledge of protocols and standards: Transport Stream file format; HTTP and HTTPS.•Familiarity with BSD and/or Linux systems, and cloud-based infrastructure and platform servicesDescription:As a Software Developer in Test you'll need to take an active role in shaping the quality of our software. This will demand deep integration with our development engineers, understanding new cutting edge software, and identifying automation opportunities. You'll work on developing test applications, automation frameworks, functional and performance automated tests. This role also requires to sync with multi-functional teams to reduce duplication, foster better test automation, and resist regressions. We are building a passionate and diverse team that will span a broad range of applications, tools, and frameworks. We need your help to reach Apple's high standards of quality.The Education team is seeking a creative and highly motivated engineer to help shape the future of testing technologies in our team. You’ll join a small but ambitious group of engineers. We are passionate about building industry-leading testing tools, and you will have a strong passion for testing and automation, a thorough understanding of computer science fundamentals and an appetite to learn the specifics of our domain. In this role you will be working closely with the rest of the teams that produce Apple's developer tools. You will be collaborating with Apple's internal software organization to help make sure that Xcode meets their testing needs as well as providing great new features to Apple's external developer community.Preferred Qualifications• Leading/building a team of other SDETs responsible for covering large-scale services• Pytest, selenium, REST APIs, gRPC services• Continuous integration tools• Using a bug tracking system (ie.
