Site Operations Manager

New Classrooms - Multiple Locations or Remote - Full time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced operations manager to oversee the operational implementation of the Teach to One: Math (TTO) program in both Midland-Odessa, TX and Phoenix, Arizona.

The Site Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation of TTO by systematizing and maintaining the operational components of the program in schools. The Site Operations Manager will partner with New Classrooms’ instructional coaches, and school partnership staff, to maximize the effectiveness of TTO implementation in a diverse portfolio of schools.

What You Would Do

  • Support school stakeholders in problem solving and creating efficiencies in scheduling and operating systems to improve the implementation of TTO
  • Identify unique academic and operational needs of schools and work with central New Classrooms teams to adapt programs accordingly
  • Establish a communication/feedback process with school partners to surface and address program concerns and partner requests
  • Make critical site-based decisions and escalate issues to the Director of Site Operations when necessary
  • Alongside other field based staff, establish strong relationships with key school stakeholders to maximize investment and partnership and to execute on strategic goals for each school
  • Provide operational updates and perspectives from each partner school to inform programmatic decisions
  • Collaborate on design and implementation strategies to meet goals and objectives to enhance the health of partnership and overall implementation of TTO
  • Collect and analyze data throughout the school year to track implementation health and inform strategies to enhance program success
  • Partner with other Site Operations Managers to define best practices, manage the implementation of new features, and create goals and objectives for the Site Operations department
  • Design strategies to effectively remotely manage the implementation of TTO and manage on-site visitations in the assigned regions
  • Lead designated projects to support innovative solutions to operational challenges, both internally and externally, to increase implementation effectiveness
  • Manage internal and external tours of the TTO program at the partner schools
  • Increase capacity of school partners and equip stakeholders at schools with the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to manage operational tasks with appropriate support from NC staff.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated experience and passion for work in K-12 education
  • Experience working in schools
  • Strong attention to detail and independent work ethic
  • Approaches work with Can-do attitude and positive outlook
  • Ability to operate with purpose, urgency, and accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Natural tendency toward innovative and creative problem solving
  • Comfort working in a highly collaborative start-up/entrepreneurial work environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships and motivate a diverse team to meet ambitious goals
  • Car required for travel between schools

Additional Information

In this role up to 50% of time will be spent traveling, and access to a car and holding a valid driver’s license is required as the role includes traveling to, and between school partner sites
