Services Operations Specialist

BetterLesson - Cambridge, Massachusetts or Remote - Full time

We are seeking a full-time Services Operations Specialist to support the work of the Services Team. As Services Operations Specialist, you will support the successful delivery of our professional development workshops and instructional coaching. You will assist with day-to-day event approval, facilitator staffing, and logistics for both in-person and virtual events. You will train our team of over 100 Contract Coaches in our scheduling, invoicing, travel, and reimbursement systems and tools. As BetterLesson continues to grow, you will work closely with our Manager of Services Operations ensure our operational systems can scale effectively and continue to delight both our Contract Coaches and partners with our service delivery.

You Are

  • a quick learner with information systems (e.g. Quickbase, Quicksight) and comfortable implementing and suggesting streamlined operational systems that include complex tech tools.

You Will

  • implement BetterLesson's operational systems and processes;
  • support day-to-day event staffing, including putting events out to bid to our team of Contract Coaches and making data-driven staffing decisions;
  • respond to and problem-solve last-minute event changes and cancellations;
  • provide ongoing training and support to our team of Contract Coaches, including facilitating monthly "how-to" group trainings for contractors;
  • monitor our ticket system by responding to Contract Coach questions and requests;
  • support Contract Coach hiring via resume review and interviews;
  • proactively analyze and monitor delivery data to identify trends in delivery and adjust staffing protocols appropriately;
  • collaborate efficiently and effectively with other teams and partners to ensure that our delivery meets expectations across stakeholders;
  • collaborate with the Product team to evaluate our current systems and design new systems to address new opportunities that arise.

You Have

  • 2+ years in an operations role, ideally supporting service delivery;
  • 2+ years experience in an educational setting (e.g., district, school, ed tech) and/or a demonstrated commitment to improving educational outcomes for all students;
  • demonstrated the flexibility required in results-oriented, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environments
