What You’ll Do:

Develop a high impact digital presence for DiscoveryEducation.com that captures and engages customers and delivers the brand promise for Discovery Education. The candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of all available marketing channels, media and touch points, executing engaging digital campaigns and overseeing development and day to day maintenance of web properties to support the customer journey and integrated campaigns. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating Marketing strategies into personalized, high-performing, mobile and desktop experiences that are constantly being tested and optimized.

  • Develop and execute web strategy to grow traffic and drive demand for Discovery Education’s products
  • Work with development resources and agencies to manage strategy, execute updates and make changes through content management system
  • Partner with Marketing and IT’s Development teams to develop and execute content strategy from thought leadership to form creation; creating positive and engaging customer experiences that drive increased engagement
  • Research, build and launch national and regional campaign landing pages
  • Increase lead generation through use of marketing automation, web personalization and web to lead techniques
  • Data-driven decision making for promotional planning, execution and optimization
  • Work with the creative team to ensure accuracy and brand alignment across all web content, including offsite listings
  • Ensure proper SEO practices are in place and implement new practices to drive and boost traffic
  • Work with Marketing to identify powerful keywords and call-to-actions
  • Shepherd web features and enhancements from concept through delivery
  • Develop, prioritize and execute against an editorial calendar
  • Develop testing strategies to optimize web performance
  • Stay current on all the tools, principles, and practices in user-centered web marketing
  • Track, report and improve site KPIs to drive to increased demand

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to take a strategic approach to new projects as well as have strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • 3+ years’ experience in a related web/digital role, education sector marketing preferred
  • Practical experience and sound theoretical understanding of digital marketing, engagement analysis, social media analytics, web design, web content strategy, and information architecture
  • Demonstrated ability with front-end web development including skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress
  • Well versed in user interface design, including site architecture, usability, and user interface / user experience best practices
  • Strong project management skills
  • High energy and proven leadership skills a must
  • Excellent communications skills – oral and written
  • SEO knowledge required
  • Experience with SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Marketo or similar marketing automation platform a plus
  • Expert knowledge of all MS Office professional productivity applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
