Senior Sales Manager

ThinkWrite Technologies is seeking a Senior Sales Manager who will lead sales initiatives within the company from its headquarters in coastal North San Diego County. The Senior Sales Manager will develop and execute sales strategies for growing the ThinkWrite brand of technology accessories in the education and consumer space. They will oversee and direct all sales support staff. The Senior Sales Manager will develop strong connections with reseller partners in the channel and work to bring new partners into the ThinkWrite sales network. They will be an advocate and champion of ThinkWrite product lines.

The Senior Sales Manager will work in collaboration with other senior managers to realize strategic company goals in the area of sales. They will also manage the company CRM and communicate sales numbers to senior management on a regular basis. In addition they will work closely with the Vice President of Operations and Production and Logistics Manager to plan for inventory needs based on sales projections.

The ideal candidate is a self-directed leader with a deep knowledge of the education sales market, as well as an understanding of digital learning in K-12 education. They will also have an existing network of relationships with resellers (VARs) and distributors in the educational sales channel. A successful Senior Sales Manager will lead the company to increased sales revenues on a year to year basis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s sales strategies.
  • Identify, create and foster relationships within the reseller and distribution channels to grow sales.
  • Drive company sales by expanding our nationwide customer database with key decision makers at school districts throughout the United States.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas and projecting expected sales volume for existing and new products.
  • Manage and support sales staff.
  • Manage an effective internal sales communication system including company CRM.
  • Work with marketing department to develop effective and consistent sales messaging.
  • Assist with the company’s marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Develop international sales channels to grow ThinkWrite brand globally.
  • Evaluate and provide guidance on pricing of current and future products, bid lists, and distribution.
  • Collaborate with production and operations managers to keep production and sales pipeline synchronized.
  • Track and report sales metrics to senior management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks and participating in social media.
  • Represent the company by traveling to various conferences, symposiums, trade shows, and networking events.

Personal and Professional Assets

  • Self starter that can generate own leads and opportunities.
  • Bachelors or Masters with business or sales emphasis preferred.
  • Proven record selling in K-12 educational market.
  • Understanding and experience of marketing to K-12 educational districts.
  • Experience managing and motivating staff members.
  • Existing network of contacts at school districts and resellers, preferably at a national or multi-state regional level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and charismatic individual who works well in a team setting.
