Senior Sales Executive - Analytics Solutions (Remote or office based acceptable)

With a depth of product offerings, Certica is well known in the EdTech world and recently acquired an innovative analytics solution for School Districts which we are bringing to market. The Senior Sales Executive will sell our recently launched Videri product, the only analytics solution for K-12 built on the EdFi data standard, into a defined territory and report directly to the Executive Vice President of Sales. We are seeking the right individual with experience selling to school districts and/or selling analytics and dashboard solutions who has a track record of success and will work well in our collaborative culture. Previous experience launching a new product to a new or existing customer base is preferred. 

This position will be located in a virtual home office or in one of our six office locations.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop, manage and close sales of our Videri analytics product line to new school districts in target market for assigned territory.
  • Upsell Videri to existing customers of our data validation product line.
  • Quickly develop relationships with key stakeholders in prospect organizations.
  • Communicate the vision for potential customers of the value and return of comprehensive data to enhance student outcomes.
  • Consultative and/or Solution selling skills, as demonstrated in previous positions, a must.
  • Sales are driven primarily through web interactions and phone with the ability to travel to potential clients as needed up to 25 to 40% depending on location of candidate.
  • Travel to 2 or 3 conferences per year as needed.
  • Skills and Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years selling directly to school districts and/or selling analytic and dashboard solutions;
  • Excellent ability to influence key stakeholders throughout a prospect’s organization;
  • Previous experience bringing a new product to market preferred.
  • Capable of thinking strategically and creatively while also executing quickly and pragmatically;
  • Ability to creatively and thoughtfully solve problems;
  • Excellent in-person customer-facing skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally with customers;
  • Significant experience using Microsoft Office products to produce proposals, presentations and pricing ROI models to demonstrate product value to prospects;
  • Previous experience using the Challenger Sales methodology preferred;
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking ability;
  • Experience using Salesforce is highly desirable;
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
