Job Overview:

Lexia, a Cambium Learning Group company, is currently seeking an experienced and driven Senior Manager, Revenue Funnel Operations to join the strategic marketing team. Lexia helps 5 million children learn to read through the use of technology.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations, the Sr. Manager of Revenue Funnel Operations will play a critical role in driving the collective coalition of sales operations, marketing operations, sales enablement, and customer success to maximize revenue and performance. Sitting within the marketing operations department, this role will be a critical voice in the success of increasing marketing efficiency, effectiveness and business contribution by operationalizing and optimizing marketing strategy, processes, infrastructure, and measurement in particular when it comes to full funnel marketing and sales.

The ideal candidate will be someone with a legacy of experience in marketing operations and providing data-driven decision making to facilitate the development of marketing strategies and plans. This candidate must have high-levels of influence on the following: measurement and analytics, data management, planning and budget management, marketing technology stack, best-in-class processes and agile marketing, and marketing operations functional design and development.

In addition to being an outstanding communicator, you will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal, analytical and data-driven skills, and strong management and coaching skills. Your core goal will be to scale and influence the adoption and implementation of the Revenue Funnel Framework while also playing a key role in overall marketing and sales partnership.

Job Responsibilities:

The Sr. Manager, Revenue Funnel Operations is the face of the revenue funnel framework across the organization. They will serve as an active primary point of contact for all requests and priorities as it relates to the revenue funnel. The role requires strategic, technical and analytical skills, but creative vision, as well as project- and time-management skills are critical. A strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and new approaches on how to integrate tools, technologies, and processes to help businesses scale, evolve, and grow.

This role will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal, analytical and data-driven skills, and strong management and coaching skills. Our core goal is to grow our brand’s influence while also increasing customer acquisition, lead generation, and nurturing.

  • Partners with stakeholders across the organization to inform the the vision, strategy, features, and prioritization for the Revenue Funnel.
  • Collaborates with marketing, sales and customer success teams teams to co-develop a Revenue Funnel roadmap and drive updates and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment.
  • Translates roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Understand and navigate stakeholder's different and competing priorities to objectively focus on an end goal
  • Ability to identify risk and create contingency plans to address it
  • Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
  • Participate in ongoing reviews of business processes and working collaboratively to develop optimization strategies

Partnership & Training

  • Partner effectively with sales training and readiness teams to develop, build, and scale trainings around the revenue funnel
  • Model and socialize accountability efforts around the Revenue Funnel across sales/marketing leaders and sales/marketing end-users
  • Be a key leader and thought-partner in guiding strategic marketing team, ensuring readiness for continued scalability and growth
  • Effectively communicate varying project statuses, obstacles, and recommendations to senior leadership across a variety of key stakeholders including: sales, sales operations, finance, business systems, customer success, etc.
  • Partner and delegate work and manage production from contractors and/or individual contributors
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align business objectives for subsequent revenue funnel phases

Strategic Agility & Analysis

  • Co-lead database strategies, analyze gaps in the business’s data, customer acquisition strategies, and data quality practices.
  • Strategize on how to align marketing teams with processes and initiatives that support exceptional lead management and sales enablement
  • Act as subject matter expert throughout cross-departmental functions
  • Lead key lead qualification governance processes and activities
  • Use analytics to measure the performance of the revenue funnel and make recommendations for improvements to develop best in class sales and marketing aligned experience
  • Monitor and adjust core marketing operations processes as related to the revenue funnel with great ability to pivot to meet organizational needs
  • Ensure proper tracking methodologies and attribution models are developed and implemented to maximize ROI and articulate marketing’s influence on revenue and bookings

Technical Acumen

  • Develop concept, built prototype, and manage of all sales and marketing dashboards based on region, territory, business unit in Salesforce (and other tools as needed)
  • Build and manage key reports in Salesforce to help make data-driven decisions across sales and marketing
  • Triage sales and operations tickets and questions
  • Support martech stack through integrations lens of revenue funnel
  • Develop optimization and maturity roadmap of revenue funnel framework
  • Understand and work through complex campaign workflows in collaboration with the Manager, Marketing Automation
  • Optimize workflows between marketing automation tool (Eloqua) and CRM (Salesforce)

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of marketing or marketing operations experience demonstrating a steady career progression with increasing responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience developing, managing and maintaining dynamic data-driven strategies and tactics
  • Proficiency with a marketing automation platform and CRM platform required (Eloqua and Salesforce preferred)
  • Knowledge of digital demand generation, content marketing, web, and email marketing as it relates to marketing and sales alignment
  • Experience building and implementing testing and optimization strategies to improve marketing
  • Excellent reporting and analytics skills to drive strategy with a solid understanding of reporting tools such as marketing automation, CRM, and Google Analytics
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and problem-solve
  • Proven results in project management in a fast-paced environment requiring regular prioritization of workload across a growing team
  • Energetic, highly independent self-starter with proven effectiveness working in a collaborative cross-functional team
  • Fast learner with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Google Drive, Gmail, and Excel
