How You Can Help

We’re looking for a mission-driven marketer to help take Schoolzilla's growth to the next level. Working closely with our growth, product, and customer teams, you will lead our marketing campaigns, effectively creating awareness and and scaling programs, channels, and tactics that deliver quality leads to our outreach and sales teams.In addition to a competitive salary, fantastic benefits, and perks to write home about, you will thrive on the energy of a fast-paced startup environment, surrounded by talented, fun doers who are driven to deliver results for the students and educators we serve.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product team to develop key messaging and positioning
  • Create content strategy that increases our impact by spreading best practices to more data-driven school system leaders and capturing and sharing success stories that inspire others to use data to run great schools
  • Write and edit clear, compelling content
  • Generate earned media and enhance Schoolzilla’s status as a thought leader
  • Measure campaign performance against goals
  • Create sales enablement tools to help sales and outreach teams tell the Schoolzilla story
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with other teams to understand their needs and how to best support them

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • K-12 experience or K-12 marketing experience or both!
  • Experience planning and executing marketing campaigns, preferably in a B2B or B2G context
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong copy editor-- have you been spotting suggested copy edits as you read this job description?
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team environment
  • Strong business acumen, knowledge of marketing best practices
  • Ability to take the 30,000 ft view and then get in the weeds to execute
  • Familiar with modern digital marketing tools and best practices - from marketing automation software to website optimization and beyond
  • Is highly organized and enjoys owning projects from beginning to end
  • Is able to track multiple timelines, projects, and tasks
  • Is collaborative; enjoys problem-solving with a small team

Bonus Points

  • Experience with HubSpot, WordPress, Google Analytics, Tableau, and / or Adobe Creative Suite (these are just bonus points!)
