CodePath is a national non-profit that is reprogramming higher education to create the most diverse generation of software engineers, CTOs, and founders. We deliver industry-vetted courses and career support centered on the needs of Black, Latino/a, Indigenous, and low-income students. Our students train with senior engineers, intern at top companies, and rise together to become the tech leaders of tomorrow.

Founded in 2017, CodePath has taught over 20,000 students and delivered courses across over 85 universities. We are supported by some of the largest and most well-respected organizations, including Andreessen Horowitz, Blue Meridian Partners, Cognizant Foundation, Comcast, Google, Meta, Salesforce, Walmart, and Workday, among others.

We are currently targeted to serve 10,000+ students a year nationwide as of 2023, and are planning to scale up to ~100,000 students a year by 2030.

About the Role

Location: Remote, United States

Reports To: Senior Director, Student & University Marketing

Compensation: $100,000 to $125,000 per year

As the Senior Manager of Student Lifecycle Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in driving student leads, fostering engagement, and nurturing prospective and enrolled students throughout their journey. You will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that leverage email, SMS, Slack, Discord, social media, and other student-facing channels to ensure that underserved college students recognize CodePath as the leading organization for technical excellence, mentorship, community, and industry access.

Key Activities:

  • Create and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive student acquisition & retention for CodePath's no-cost computer science courses and early career programs. Leverage customer insights to build personalized and impactful campaigns. Take charge of audience segmentation, targeting strategies, campaign logic, and digital deployment to ensure personalized communication.
  • Develop proven structures and processes that help the student marketing team achieve outstanding results. Manage a team of admissions logistics contractors to ensure smooth execution and optimization of recruitment funnel and admissions campaigns. Identify & clear roadblocks, continue to contribute to ongoing function work, whilst overseeing the delivery of multiple projects or initiatives on clear timelines
  • Partner closely with the Student & University Marketing team to mobilize CodePath's network of Tech Fellows, campus leaders, and university partners to build student communities, facilitate courses on campus, and drive student enrollment.
  • Create and manage marketing automation tailored to CodePath's student population, including the development of customer journey maps to guide engagement strategies. Manage the student communications calendar, overseeing nurture and trigger streams.
  • Collaborate closely with growth agency, external creative teams & internal stakeholders to design and produce engaging & measurable content for student communications & channels, including paid media.
  • Monitor the prospect pipeline and lead lifecycle for CodePath. Analyze the size, value, cost, and attribution of leads from different sources to inform marketing strategies and ensure accuracy of student database.
  • Analyze marketing performance metrics and generate reports. Utilize response data and test results to optimize marketing programs for improved effectiveness. Forecast, track, and report on campaign effectiveness and KPI impact. Continually seek out new opportunities to move the needle against primary KPIs.
  • Connect team’s efforts with savvy grasp of ecosystem and organizational context and prioritize effectively based off business needs. Provide data-driven recommendations to marketing and senior leadership based on marketing insights and performance metrics.


  • Demonstrated commitment to Codepath's mission, vision, and core values.
  • 5-7 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, and/or marketing operations
  • Strong experience leveraging marketing automation to make a meaningful impact on team effectiveness. Deep experience with HubSpot is a plus.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing integrated B2C marketing campaigns start-up experience a plus.
  • Strong communication and writing skills. You can work with copywriters and agencies but are also able to dive in and develop the messaging yourself.
  • Familiarity with marketing tech stack tools and a natural curiosity for emerging tools and technologies to improve marketing performance.
  • Technical proficiency or domain expertise in student and campus marketing is a plus.
