The Opportunity

TalkingPoints is looking for an experienced Senior Manager / Manager of B2B Marketing to support our marketing initiatives. This role is a player/coach role and will report to the Interim Marketing Lead. You'll lead our efforts to create and execute marketing campaigns designed to generate leads and build brand awareness. These campaigns will be primarily digital in nature (email, digital PPC ads, webinars and more), though you will also support driving traffic to in-person trade shows and TalkingPoints sponsored events. You will work with the Marketing team to build the campaign calendar and will also be hands-on in helping to execute these campaigns (e.g., you will write or work with others to write our emails). You'll be working closely with a small but mission-driven team to help TalkingPoints elevate our offering among K-12 education leaders and school/district purchase decision-makers in order to have a greater impact on improving student outcomes through effective family engagement. You will also:

  • Lead the effort of building our campaign calendar, which includes a strong lead generation component as well as brand awareness. This will be focused on digital media, such as email, webinars and paid digital advertising, including paid social advertising. You will work closely with Marketing, Sales and Product in creating this calendar.
  • Help execute marketing campaigns, including the creation of emails and other campaign copy, often working closely with other team members with product and market expertise.
  • Work closely with Marketing Operations and Revenue Operations to analyze the results of both lead generation and awareness campaigns and adjust future campaigns based on the analytics.
  • Support event and conference success through driving traffic to key events as well as working closely with Sales on tactics to drive leads and awareness at events.
  • Ensure all communications support org positioning and meet quality, branding, voice, and content guidelines.

Who you are


  • Recent experience planning, executing and optimizing B2B lead generation marketing and brand awareness campaigns. Also experience leading the creation of a marketing campaign calendar.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with results-driven mindset, with the ability to establish key metrics, and tell compelling stories through qualitative and quantitative data
  • Strong written communication and positioning skills
  • Highly collaborative and able to work with multiple stakeholders

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with U.S.-based K-12 education systems, including working with edtech companies that target both schools and district decision makers.
  • Experience with our Marketing Tech stack, which includes HubSpot and Salesforce.
  • Experience in or empathy with communities we serve (e.g., underserved populations, education, immigration, bilingual and/or multicultural environments).

The base range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 USD. The actual base compensation may vary depending on factors such as experience, location, market conditions, education/training, skill level, and does not include bonuses, other forms of compensation, or benefits.
