We are looking for a talented senior manager, educator professional learning programs, to oversee Common Sense Education's professional learning offerings -- specifically, the Premium Membership offering (PMO) for schools. The senior manager will manage this program by developing and maintaining high-quality research-based professional learning experiences for both online and in-person delivery. The senior manager's overarching goal is to ensure the success of this program in meeting school and district needs and demand, with the ultimate goal of supporting schools and districts in creating a culture of digital learning and digital citizenship.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Premium Membership Offering (PMO) Strategy & Design

  • PMO learning
    • Oversee the learning design of the PMO, including the learning objectives, competencies, topics, and scope and sequence.
    • Produce and manage the PMO platform, including structure and look and feel, content uploading and organizing, access and registration, user experience, onboarding processes, and turnkey implementation.
  • Content and product strategy
    • Work with the senior director of learning and engagement on content strategy for the PMO and, more broadly, all of Common Sense Education's professional learning offerings.

Professional Learning Content Development

  • Conceive of, plan, develop, and curate professional learning content to support educators in digital learning and digital citizenship, including:
    • Designing learning content that resonates with teachers, tech coordinators, librarians, and school IT leaders.
    • Developing online PD, including webinars, videos, and e-learning mini-courses.
    • Ensuring offering is aligned with and driving our recognition program and community engagement.
    • Working cross-functionally with design and product teams to develop and maintain the offering.
    • Writing program descriptions and messaging and promotional materials.
    • As needed, designing, refreshing, and updating professional learning for new and existing initiatives (partners, courses, etc.).

Product Marketing & Measurement

  • Product marketing and sales support
    • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market.
    • Sales enablement: Communicate the value proposition of the PMO and coordinate the development sales/marketing tools.
    • Market intelligence: Analyze the competitive landscape and track PMO performance via formal and informal market research to inform new product development and updates to the existing PMO.

    Measure and track impact for PMO

    • Set metrics and measurements that align with PMO sales goals. Create regular feedback loops with surveys, observations, and customer feedback and other data to inform iterations and improvements on the offering.

Delivery & Management

  • Delivery
    • Work with delivery team to co-develop processes around training on content, onboarding and implementation, customer service, and more to ensure a seamless delivery of PMO.
  • Train educators on digital learning and citizenship
    • Co-present live professional development, whether online or, occasionally, in person (limited/local travel).

WHAT WE NEED TO SEE IN YOUR APPLICATION MATERIALS:

  • Master's degree or equivalent preferred, preferably in instructional technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in online and in-person teacher professional development, adult learning principles, instructional design, and personalized learning techniques and approaches for K–12 educators
  • Remarkable verbal, written, video, and online content development abilities
  • Foundational knowledge of project management
  • Deep knowledge of edtech, digital learning, and digital citizenship

THE X FACTOR:

  • You understand the common processes and challenges schools face in implementing technology, as well as those teachers face in utilizing technology in teaching.
  • You are passionate about designing meaningful learning experiences that transform educator practice, including experience developing high-quality in-person and online/e-learning for educators, such as webinars, courses, workshops, and turnkey resources.
  • You are comfortable and collegial in working with a variety of partners from K–12, industry, and academia.
  • You love to know the latest trends in edtech and educator professional development.
  • You are tech-savvy and willing to learn and try new tools. Desired: Google Apps, Asana, Slack, Zoom, Salesforce. Experience with (or willingness to learn) e-learning software such as Articulate or Adobe Captivate a plus. Experience with LMS design such as Canvas or PowerSchool.
  • You have a "can do" attitude and are a problem-solver, OK with uncertainty and continually iterating.
  • You have a great sense of humor -- even when meeting tough deadlines.
