Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Senior Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for helping build and execute a marketing strategy that follows the core Common Sense audiences' life cycles through awareness and conversion to engagement and loyalty. The ideal candidate has a blend of editorial, analytical, and marketing skills. This role requires strong strategic skills, an ability to storytell, and the technical skills to segment audiences and measure, track, and deliver results.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage the Digital Marketing Coordinators, supporting their growth and professional development and helping them reach their goals.
  • Develop and maintain a holistic, cross-channel, integrated marketing and communications calendar to support Common Sense Media and Common Sense Education audiences.
  • Partner across the organization (social media, communications, video, brand and creative, outreach, community engagement, editorial, product) on the development and execution of best-in-class campaigns to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze content and channel performance, conduct campaign testing, and translate into clear observations and actionable steps to optimize efforts and results.
  • Partner with and/or supervise internal and external resources, vendors, agencies, and freelancers in the development of assets and campaign activation.
  • Be a key thought leader in creating new approaches to creative marketing campaigns.
  • Facilitate development of content and assets such as email campaigns, infographics, video scripts, landing pages, and more.
  • Using brand messaging frameworks, write clear, compelling copy for a variety of channels, including across the entire user journey to different personas, verticals, and communication touchpoints.
  • Ensure consistency of our brand voice with a focus on our DEI outreach objectives throughout all our communication touchpoints.

WHAT WE NEED TO SEE ON YOUR RÉSUMÉ:

  • 7+ years of experience managing direct-to-consumer marketing strategies and various digital marketing channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet audience acquisition, engagement, and growth goals and objectives.
  • High level of proficiency using databases/CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), email marketing systems (Marketing Cloud preferred), website analytics (Google Analytics preferred), and project management platforms (Asana preferred).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, supporting multiple projects and priorities at once, and managing deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Superior organizational and problem-solving abilities, with acute attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with/experience in the K–12 education space.
  • People management experience.
  • Interest in kids' media and technology, entertainment media and edtech, and digital marketing trends and channels.
