Job Overview:

The Senior Manager of Customer Marketing will lead national marketing initiatives focused on Lexia’s valued base of customers to optimize product usage, engagement, retention and long-term satisfaction. This person will provide strategic planning and execution of programs along the customer journey—from onboarding to advocacy—and create an appropriately aligned strategy in partnership with a variety of internal stakeholders to execute on that strategy.

Location: This position is remote-first, USA.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute campaigns to drive strong customer engagement and fidelity of use.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers and each stage of their customer journey—from onboarding to adoption to retention to advocacy.
  • Execute integrated multi-channel demand gen programs, including paid search, web, social advertising, webinars, customer events and appreciation strategies, newsletters and advocacy programs.
  • Create nurture and customer lifecycle campaigns that are specific to the customer and their pain points
  • Build multi-channel communication plans to announce new product offerings or features to our customers.
  • Evaluate performance of marketing and promotional campaigns and analyze campaigns to recommend improvements.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Product Marketing, and National Marketing to create targeted marketing and content to support customer engagement via emails, webinars, e-newsletters, user contests, podcasts, videos and more
  • Actively monitor and report on the effectiveness of the customer marketing program including customer engagement and advocacy

Job Requirements:

  • Experience of 5-7 years in a marketing role, preferably in the K12 educational publishing or educational technology fields, with a record of developing and executing successful demand generation programs that drive customer engagement and advocacy.
  • Proven experience in a wide variety of inbound/outbound marketing disciplines, including social media (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn), paid and organic search, advertising, retargeting, email, direct and event marketing
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders to build strong partnerships and collaboration on strategies for the customer experience.
  • Excellent written communication, negotiation, presentation and collaboration skills..
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little supervision
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with experience leading meetings
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Takes initiative and functions effectively, both independently and as a member of a team, with a willingness to take on and assist with routine and last minute projects
  • Deep understanding of marketing processes and modern tactics
  • Familiar with marketing automation tools; knowledge of Eloqua and salesforce a plus
  • Experience working with outside vendors
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
