THE ROLE

This is a new position that will lead the Conscious Tech track of the Camelback Fellowship. The Senior Lead, Conscious Tech will join a counterpart leading the Education Track of the Fellowship and be part of the overall Programs team at Camelback.

This person will ensure Camelback is delivering a relevant, rigorous, and best-in-class accelerator experience that supports the growth of entrepreneurs of color and women to meet hard goals (e.g., follow-on funding) and soft goals (e.g., high cohort culture). This is an exciting period of growth and change at Camelback including a shift to operating multiple cohorts per year and delivering learning experiences virtually.

The Senior Lead will manage, support, facilitate, coach, and execute the program so that founders feel affirmed and are developing stronger and better ventures. The Senior Lead has the capacity and the ability to manage the different components of the program including facilitators, coaches, and experts.

On top of this, they will assist the team in continuing to improve the design and development of a high-quality curriculum and scope and sequence that supports the growth of the founders and ventures in our program. This person will build on what has been created in the last 6 years. While they will have the ability to tweak the design, their focus will be on the execution of the program and ensuring venture success for those we invest in.

THE PERSON

We would be over-the-moon to work with someone who will add to our culture rooted in a belief in our mission; a desire for constant learning; being unafraid of failure; and is humble in their work, but hungry to earn their keep. The Senior Lead will see themselves in the examples below:

  • You have high standards for yourself and others. When given a goal your instinct is to stretch yourself. Others have told you that your push for excellence inspires them.
  • You are the ultimate teammate. You prefer to play volleyball over tennis. When a friend needs help, they call you because they know you’ll have their back.
  • You nerd out on entrepreneurship and company development! You have a dedicated list of podcasts or publications you consume on business and social impact. You might have even started a company or two.
  • You believe in the growth mindset. You teach yourself at Khan Academy or AltMBA. You know that what something is today is not what it has to be tomorrow. You are naturally curious and ask questions.
  • You think a couple steps ahead. You like strategy games where you know what the goal is, but need to figure out what to do. Your colleagues or friends would say that you are the one that sees the possibilities before they do.
