Senior Event Marketing Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic and results driven Sr. Event Manager to lead our Event Marketing execution and strategy. You will be responsible for managing a high volume event program including National Tradeshows, VIP, and Regional events. You are responsible for mapping the events program to our business objectives, and ensuring the events team executes at a high-level with measurable outcomes. This role is coach-player - expected to execute while managing the overarching events strategy.

Our ideal candidate will be driven by ROI and has experience leading a team that plans a high volume of events that directly contribute to lead, pipeline, and revenue generation across business segments. You will be responsible for developing a 360 integrated event program from strategy through to plan details and execution and will be accountable for measurable business outcomes.

You must be an excellent cross functional collaborator, skilled at building bridges with partners across the GTM organization and engaging with C-suite employees and customers. You are experienced in interfacing with sales teams and being a steward for processes that create measurable outcomes. You understand how to build an events strategy that fits into the overarching marketing and business strategy.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Working with cross-functional leaders to establish a yearly events calendar and strategy that maps to the business and marketing strategy.
  • Develop event presence that will maximize booth traffic and lead generation and generate measurable interest ahead, during, and after an event
    • Manage 4-6 National Tradeshows, 6-12 VIP events annually
    • Oversee a self-service regional event model that enables sales team to execute a high volume of events annually in their regions (40+ events annually)
  • Setting appropriate KPIs and targets based on business goal and audience opportunity and actively optimizing with cross functional team to achieve results
  • Responsible for end-to-end event campaign strategy, including recommended promotional marketing components. Partnering with cross-functional marketing team members to execute all elements.
  • Ensure internal clients (sales, marketing, and executive teams) are kept abreast of overall program strategy and plans, expected outcomes, and results following the event success playbook
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to:
    • Ensure lead capture process is followed through Integrate
    • Provide clear, well-written ROI and impact reports understanding event contribution to sales leads and prospect/client engagement
  • Maintain program budgets, reporting, and ROI metrics
  • Oversee and execute tradeshow logistics, including booking booth and meeting space, managing registration process, coordinating, packing, and sending exhibition material from the warehouse and returning exhibition materials to the warehouse
    • Maintain show and staff schedules, project checklist, and processes through exhibit management templates, brief and debrief documents
    • Source and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers. Work with vendors (e.g. exhibit house, printers, etc.) to ensure timely, cost-effective, seamless execution
    • Manage budgets, track expenses, and assist in complete financial reconciliation
  • Travel to and manage onsite execution and management of key events, including show set-up and take-down, decision making to resolve issues, and serving as the primary point of contact for the onsite DreamBox team
  • Oversee event logistic coordinator(s) and/or manager(s)

About You:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Event Planning and Marketing at a corporate/executive level with a good understanding of the B2B SaaS and/or Education markets
  • Proven track record managing events that have measurable ROI in the form of lead generation, pipeline, and revenue
  • Experience providing overall mentorship and support to a less-experienced event managers - helping to prioritize, problem-solve, and remove obstacles re: strategic decisions and coach on event management, as well.
  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal skills to showcase the event and tradeshow program to internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines, and oversee multiple high-paced projects
  • Outstanding project management, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to take decisive action to remedy onsite issues and minimize negative impact
  • Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce, Integrate (or similar)
  • BS/BA in PR, marketing, or related field is preferred
  • CTSM, CME, CMP, or CEM certified a plus
  • Willing to travel up to 30% (seasonal, depending on event schedules)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation and Benefits:

Expected base salary range for this position is $$90,500 – $128,690USD annually based on several factors, including experience and geography. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus or sales commission bonus, depending on the role, and benefits that are designed to support you & your family. If you are hired at DreamBox Learning, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on considerations such as geographic location, skills, responsibilities of the role, education, and/or relevant experience.
