About the Role

About the Team

The Program Framework department will be responsible for the strategy, direction, and definition of the Teach To One (TTO) program design. The team will guide the overall program design and steward the alignment of implementation with that design. Design activities encompass the TTO program as a whole, including Instructional Design & Progressions, Implementation, Scheduling, Technology, User Experience, and more. The team will work closely with the Chief Program Officer and Chief Academic Officer to ensure a cohesive vision for the TTO program, and use that vision to guide its design and development.

This is a new team and all of the roles on the team are new. As such, successful candidates for the team will be entrepreneurs - ready to partner and collaborate to figure out how the work will be done. Relatedly, members of this team will have the opportunity to shape not only how they work but to shape the future of TTO: Math.

About You

  • You enjoy working collaboratively to solve complex, multi-faceted problems. You have the ability to use both inductive and deductive reasoning;
    • Inductive Reasoning takes observations and then uses those observations to come up with a general theory. They find the clues, make observations about them and then come up with a theory of what happened.
    • Deductive Reasoning starts from a general theory and then works towards a specific hypothesis that can be tested. The scientific method uses deduction to test hypotheses and theories.
  • You seek out multiple different perspectives and are able to productively suspend your own judgement about their merit
  • You excel in clear communication through both written and verbal means
  • You pay strong attention to details while still able to zoom out to see broader perspectives
  • You can generate creative ideas and solutions without being constrained by best practices or current state
  • You derive insight and recommend actions from analysis of qualitative and quantitative inputs

What You Would Do

  • Understand the elements of and rationale behind the Program Design to the extent that you can:
    • Capture and articulate those elements in a way that is understandable while retaining the required level of complexity to accurately represent the Program Design
    • Help the team communicate the Program Design to various audiences, both inside and outside the organization, being sensitive to the perspectives and needs of those audiences
  • Ensure that relevant perspectives are appropriately represented in the articulation of all aspects of the Program Design
  • Create and maintain the documentation of key aspects of the Program, ensuring that Program documentation is current and accessible to all who need it
  • Participate in eliciting business requirements as part of the solutioning of cross functional projects that focus on Program Advancement
  • Collaborate with Technology and other teams to support the alignment of other key areas of documentation with Program Design (e.g., product documentation, program offering documentation, etc.)
  • Actively participate in the team's activities to develop solutions for the Program Design
  • Support the team to keep track of their collective thinking during paths of inquiry in exploratory, divergent problem solving

What We Are Looking For

  • Share our vision for a world where personalized learning is just the way students learn — a world where every student attends a school that meets them where they are, adapts to the unique ways they learn, and develops habits for lifelong success.
  • Minimum of 3 years, preferred 4+ years of background in business requirements analysis and documentation or relevant consultative/analytical experience and competencies
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence/poise to participate in group problem solving sessions, involving challenging issues and conflicting perspectives
  • Flexible with a willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly
