Senior Associate, Strategic Partnerships

An individual who is highly organized, has strong partnership development skills, and is an excellent writer, communicator and relationship manager to be a Senior Associate, Strategic Partnerships. You will use these skills to support the development and management of new and existing partnerships with national and international education organizations, state leaders, and ed tech companies.

The Senior Associate, Strategic Partnerships is a critical part of the overall partnership development process and provides general support to the department. You will help to cultivate and maintain relationships among partner organizations to ensure improved learning opportunities for teachers and students. This position is also charged with championing and managing new partnerships for ISTE. You will use your creative and advanced writing skills to build compelling proposals as well as analyze, develop and deliver forecast reports based on key metrics, and report on business and relationship changes throughout the process.



Partner Development

  • Support the identification and cultivation of prospective partnerships.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries regarding new partnerships, aligning ISTE’s needs with external partnership goals.

Partnership Management

  • Oversee management of new partnerships, ensuring product deliverables are met with consistent communication between ISTE program teams and partner organizations.
  • Coordinate ISTE coalition meetings, communications and events, including the Affiliate Network and the Digital Citizenship Coalition.
  • Seek out ways to deepen existing partnerships.
  • Serve as lead Salesforce Administrator for ISTE partnerships, ensuring consistent data management and reporting across the organization.


  • Contribute to concept and proposal development through writing and conceptualizing narrative that illustrates the impact of potential new partnerships.
  • Work with team members to develop compelling communications to illustrate partnership impact. This includes collecting and analyzing data to design and develop progress reports and newsletters.
  • Work with internal teams to maintain and update Partnership and Coalition websites.

General Support

  • Manage and process invoices, contracts, and reimbursement reports for staff and consultants.


  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2-4 years of experience supporting business development, project management and/or partnership development experience.
  • Self-driven, collaborative, with a positive attitude
  • Strong writer and communicator
  • Experience in Education and/or nonprofit organizations strongly preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Spanish fluency is a plus!
