Senior Accountant

BellXcel - Remote - Full time

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will ensure that monthly close deliverables are completed accurately and timely. This will include posting journal entries, updating financial statements, reconciling balance sheet accounts, assisting in preparing monthly financial statements, cross-train with AR and AP responsibilities, assisting with annual financial audits and assisting the team with assigned projects as needed.

Position Accountabilities

The Senior Accountant will join the finance team to ensure timely and accurate recording and reporting of financial results.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
  • Assist with AR and AP processes as needed
  • Prepare reports and analyses to be included in the monthly reporting package
  • Participate in the development, documentation, and execution of policies and procedures
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting process and flux analysis
  • Produce and maintain internal control documentation
  • Perform special projects or duties as required within the group
  • Assist with ERP implementation
  • Assist with financial statement audits and assist in preparing disclosures
  • Identify gaps in processes, prepare recommendations and implement ways to improve efficiency

This role could be a fit for you if you bring:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance

Additional Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with ERP i.e. Netsuite preferred
