School Program Manager

Challenge Success - Remote - Full time

POSITION OVERVIEW

The School Program Manager will partner with a cohort of public and independent schools to support their change efforts by providing coaching and research-based reform strategies to school teams, as well as delivering professional development and parent education workshops. This person is part of a dynamic team and will report to one of the School Program Directors.

This is a full-time position, with a minimum 20% travel requirement, that offers the ideal candidate the opportunity to work remotely for a growing organization that values equity, collaboration, and student voice. RESPONSIBILITIES

School Partnerships

  • Serve as a coach and primary school relationship manager for a cohort of approximately 6-8 multi-stakeholder school teams (administrators, teachers, counselors, students, and parents) in the academic year-long School Program.
  • Build school capacity to use student and parent survey data and other research to inform school change in partnership with research team.
  • Deliver parent, faculty, and student presentations to school communities.
  • Deliver workshops at Challenge Success’s conferences and at conferences external to the organization in collaboration with the School Program team.

Program Development and Continuous Improvement

  • Support program evaluation efforts in collaboration with the research team.
  • Engage in continuous program improvement.
  • Actively participate in the organization’s internal professional learning community by sharing expertise with others and staying informed on relevant research and literature.

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

Experience

  • Middle/High School teaching and/or school leadership experience required; advanced degree in Education preferred.
  • Track record of leading change in a school environment.
  • Experience designing and leading faculty professional development and parent education workshops.
  • Demonstrated success working with diverse school populations and commitment to culturally competent practices.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of independent and public school landscape.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with experienced school leaders.
  • Proven facilitation and/or coaching skills, ideally in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and analytical thinking skills.
