About the Role:

BetterLesson has forged strong channel partnerships with leading education organizations to provide coaching and professional development around the tools and services they offer to schools. As a School Partnerships Specialist, you will be a critical member of BetterLesson’s Channel Partnerships Team and broader Marketing, Partnerships, and Partner Success Teams. By working closely with the Director of Channel Partnerships and with field teams and leaders within BetterLesson’s channel partner organizations, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with school and district leaders across the country in service of establishing long-term partnerships. Your work will begin with initial conversations to determine budget, decision-making process, alignment, and goals of schools and districts in order to create custom partnership proposals, and will extend through ensuring these new partners experience a smooth onboarding, strategic planning, and implementation process. You will transition priority accounts to BetterLesson’s Partner Success Team, and will collaborate with BetterLesson’s Directors of Partnerships across the country on renewal and referral strategies.

Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Work with our Channel Partners’ sales teams to generate new business partnerships for BetterLesson
  • Develop a proficient understanding of channel partner products/priorities (i.e. Illustrative Mathematics curriculum, EL Education K-8 curriculum)
  • Present BetterLesson’s model and services (unique to each channel partner) to prospective school and district partners
  • Write and revise custom proposals for new or expanding partnerships
  • Manage Salesforce CRM for all owned opportunities (document meeting notes and next steps, add facilitation requests, maintain up-to-date opportunity stages)
  • Support the strategic planning, onboarding and implementation for a portfolio of channel partner-sourced accounts
  • Transition channel partner accounts to Partner Success Team when applicable
  • Work with Director of Channel Partnerships to strategically upsell and plan for channel partnership renewals

You have:

  • Experience in a K-12 setting (teaching, volunteer work, other)
  • A demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, as well as balance diverse priorities diplomatically
  • A passion for diagnosing customer needs and creative problem-solving in a consultative sales approach to partnership development
  • Exceptional organizational and executive functioning skills
  • Reservoirs of empathy and enthusiasm for serving educators
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • The ability and desire to work independently and thrive under deadlines
  • The ability to prioritize tasks among an endless list of to-dos
  • A track record of proactively investigating root causes of problems and independently pursuing solutions
  • Comfort working in a results-oriented, entrepreneurial environment that requires flexibility and both synchronous and asynchronous collaboration
