The School Culture Specialist will assist in developing and supporting Green Dot’s approach to School Culture.


> In collaboration with the Director of School Culture and Climate, develop Green Dot’s general approach to School Culture in order to support schools in examining data on behavioral interventions and incentives to make decisions that are guided by restorative practice values and an equity consciousness

> In collaboration with the Director of Interventions, develop a five year implementation plan for the School Culture Team support and development

> Work collaboratively with school leaders, teacher leaders, and other Ed Team members to support school culture teams at all schools

> Develop and present professional development for school leaders, teacher leaders, and ed team members

> Provide intensive support to a caseloads of targeted schools

* Join SCT meetings to support and shape site PD

* Examine behavioral intervention data to diagnosis and assess

* Work collaboratively with teacher leaders to conduct classroom observations

* Connect and collaborate with other ed team members to align supports

* Provide coaching to targeted teachers in the areas of classroom expectations and structures

> Source, create, and curate an online library school culture resources

> Coordinate supports with external professional development providers


> A passion for improving urban schools and driving education reform

> At least four years of experience serving in communities farthest from opportunity

> Leadership roles in the context of supporting diverse student populations

> Experience with the successful implementation of a strong positive school culture program

> Knowledgeable about the current state of equity and diversity in education

> Possesses an understanding of and has experience with restorative practices in schools

> Ability to collaboratively plan and deliver differentiated professional development to a variety of audiences

> Has the initiative to maintain up to date with current education research that is relevant to school culture

> Strong oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on facilitating conversations around sensitive topics

> Holds a CA teaching credential, PPS, or LCSW. Administrative credential preferred.

> Masters in education or related field preferred

> Ability to travel to other sites and locations

Salary for this position is $75,000 - $85,000, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits plan as well as the opportunity to impact a growing, mission-driven organization that is committed to the success of all its students.
