Sales Manager

Strivven Media is an educational technology company that develops innovative college & career readiness platforms. Our flagship product, VirtualJobShadow.com, is used by over 1 million students across the US. We're looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our fast-growing company in Asheville, NC. The Sales Manager will oversee a team of sales reps, in-house and remote, to achieve and exceed goals.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for K-12 education, experience in Ed tech sales, as well as knowledge of K-12 procurement processes.

The candidate is a natural coach and motivator and passionate about leading a team in the rapidly changing industry. The Sales Manager will recruit, train, and oversee enthusiastic sales reps to drive the company’s growth. The Sales Manager will provide leadership, strategic planning, and ensure best practices to drive sales results. This position reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set and achieve annual sales objectives for the company
  • Set annual & quarterly quotas for reps
  • Define and manage to key performance metrics that optimize pipeline creation and bookings
  • Build efficient processes in CRM, Linked In and other selling tools to maximize productivity and achieve targets
  • Partner with Marketing Director to steer campaigns to align with field sales
  • Identify, build relationships, and grow new business in K-12, postsecondary and workforce
  • sectors.
  • Create lead generation strategies to build reps pipeline and support reps as needed
  • Travel as needed to attend and present at conferences and district meetings
  • Work with Account Management to facilitate handoff from sales to implementation.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • 4+ years experience in K-12 field sales
    • 4+ years of sales management experience
    • A BA/BS Degree
    • Strong leadership
    • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
    • Experience with SaaS sales
    • Technologically savvy
    • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
    • Analytical, resourceful team player with excellent oral and written communication
