Boclips makes it possible for teachers to use great video to bring concepts to life in the classroom. We make it easy for education providers to find, license and use video from the world's best and most-respected video producers and broadcasters. We have aggregated more than 2 million unique videos (and constantly growing) that show everything imaginable from a heart’s first beat to fine art, moments in history, scientific breakthroughs, language learning and even today’s breaking news so that educators can help teach kids to think critically about the world. With seed funding from ICG Ventures and Series A funding received in July 2017 from NVM Capital and Hambro Perks, we are ready to grow our platform and usage further and need you to help us achieve our goal to be the home of video in education.

As our first lead sales hire for the US, you will be helping to create the culture of Boclips in the US from the ground up. You will use your experience in edtech along with your learnings from the sales frontlines to help drive the strategic direction of the product and our brand. You will report to our CEO in London.

The Role

  • Build up a portfolio of clients of edtech digital disruptors, academic publishers and instituations, showcasing boclips as the premier way to access educational video content
  • Conceive and pitch solutions that match individual business needs
  • Generate scalable revenue and hit target quota on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Report and forecast sales activity - from prospecting target accounts and contacts to closing deals and growing existing relationships
  • Work closely with the Product and Marketing team in London to gather, analyze, and understand customer requirements to develop product enhancements
  • Expand pre-existing and new customer relationships by encouraging adoption of the product

What we look for

  • At least 5+ years of sales experience in Enterprise SaaS sales and/or Education technology business development
  • Experience operating in a high-growth business environment like Boclips
  • A strong history of quota attainment and excellent performance on a high-performing team
  • Ability to successfully drive revenue and growth through the development of long-term strategic relationships with existing customers
  • Willing to work independently at first, with availability for domestic and international travel up to 40%
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with proven ability to hire, motivate, develop and retain top sales talent.
  • BA/BS degree preferably
  • + there's no script, so a 'make it happen' attitude with all the support that's needed from the team
