They often don't use it effectively, however, to communicate with parents and other educators to help students succeed. SchoolStatus is currently hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) in our Atlanta-area office to support our rapidly growing sales team. We are looking for candidates with a strong desire to start and/or expand their sales career with SchoolStatus. Must be high energy and competitive, with excellent interpersonal skills, technical abilities, and phone skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This candidate will provide a “first touch” to prospects in the K12 market and will own the responsibility of engaging and nurturing leads until they are qualified sufficiently to pass to a Client Executive for active selling. In this role you will:

  • Cold-call school district administrators via phone, email, and social media
  • Research targeted school districts, identify key administrators, and develop leads
  • Build rapport with inbound inquiries and transition “cold” leads into “warm” responsive prospects
  • Qualify leads for Client Executives
  • Update prospect interaction in Salesforce.com
  • Enhance product knowledge through regularly attending training sessions
  • Attend field sales meetings as appropriate

REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS degree
  • Engaging and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills
  • Easy communication style to effectively tell success stories without being verbose
  • Personality to establish and maintain strong relationship with Client Executives and marketing team to become a valued partner to them
  • Competitive and hate to lose – learns from mistakes to avoid repeating
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and maximize efficiency
  • Proficient with email, voicemail, & Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, etc.)

NOT REQUIRED, BUT WOUILD BE AWESOME

  • Experience cold calling
  • Knowledge of CRM technology (Salesforce.com, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Sales Development technology (SalesLoft, Outreach, or equivalent)
  • Experience with K12 market
