Sales Development Representative (SDR)

NovoEd is expanding our sales and marketing teams to bring online learning to more organizations in our next phase of growth. We’re looking for sales development candidates who embrace the challenges of growing a business, who are excited to be part of a close-knit team, and who are creative, goal-oriented relationship builders and problem solvers. We are looking for entrepreneurial Sales Development Representatives (SDR) who are self-motivated, metrics-driven, and team-oriented who are eager to generate leads in a B2B enterprise software company. We are looking for someone with critical thinking skills who can dive into the details to get things done with a "can do" attitude focused on execution.

Job Description:

NovoEd is looking for a motivated, high energy Sales Development Representative (SDR) to work with our Sales & Marketing Team. This person is responsible for following up with prospects who have responded to inbound lead activities as well as identifying and uncovering new prospects through a account research and cold outbounding methods. The SDR is responsible for qualifying the prospect for a meeting with our account executives. We’re looking for high integrity professionals early in their career who are great communicators, uber-organized, tool savvy, hyper-focused, highly motivated, naturally curious, and eager to make their mark as an SDR!

This role offers a clear promotion path into inside sales, outside sales, account management, or marketing.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop target accounts and inbound leads to create sales-ready leads and opportunities.
  • Help create and prioritize strategic target account lists and contacts within a defined territory; Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest through discovery calls and email campaigns.
  • Generate sales-ready meetings and qualified leads for Account Executives using NovoEd’s qualification criteria.
  • Understand and uncover customer needs and business problems and effectively communicate how NovoEd can solve them. Become a trusted resource and develop superior relationships with prospects to move them into a deeper evaluation.
  • Maintain knowledge, awareness of NovoEd product and competitive platforms.
  • Use and maintain the Salesforce.com system according to NovoEd standards; provide metrics on leads; Leverage CRM and other tools to prospect into specific markets and verticals; Maintain detailed account profiles and lead progress.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to drive continuous improvement in lead quality, conversion rates, and pipeline generation.
  • Consistently achieve targets to ensure territory revenue and growth objectives.

  • Excellent relationship building skills with a strong sense of curiosity. Possesses an innate ability to extract information and business requirement from prospects.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to quickly understand and demonstrate technology and business value propositions.
  • The desire to work in a high-energy, fast-paced, team environment.
  • Savvy using software tools and systems (MS Office, Social Media, sales or marketing automation, other).
  • 4-year University degree or equivalent experience
  • Pluses:
    • Telemarketing/telesales/sales experience is preferred and could be from any work you've done, including your career, but also nonprofit work, extracurricular clubs, etc.
    • Better yet, a track record as a SDR achieving measurable inside sales goals using a CRM and sales automation tools in a modern sales environment.
