At Meg our mission is to create global citizens through language and intercultural experiences. Our primary services are our K-12 Mandarin and Spanish programs. We connect classrooms with professional teachers in Latin America and China who deliver our Spanish and Mandarin language and culture courses over video conference into the classroom. We operate in the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand and teach over 50,000 K-12 students a week.

We’re seeking an empathetic, passionate and highly motivated SDR to support Business Development and to manage Lead Generation into K-12 schools. This person is ideally pursuing a full-time career in Sales, has a knack for building rapport quickly with others and has a personal story grounded in cross-cultural experiences. If you have a knack for nitty gritty, get your hands dirty prospecting campaigns, this might be the role for you.

Main Responsibilities

  • Researching K-12 market and target market profile schools, districts, and networks
  • Attending various lead generation conferences, webinars, mixers, and events
  • Developing and executing cold call, Email, and social media lead generation campaigns
  • Securing qualified leads for demonstrations of Spanish and Mandarin classes
  • Building a book of relevant targets and maintaining a CRM

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in relevant field is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 1 years industry experience strongly preferred (i.e. language/cultural software sales or other software sales)
  • Experience with Email marketing and/or cold calling campaigns is a must.
  • Ability to navigate CRM (i.e. Hubspot, Zoho or SalesForce) is a must.
  • Independent self-starter able to work on multiple requirements simultaneously with minimal direction/supervision
  • Trustworthy with high ethical and moral standards and belief in Meg’s core cultural values
  • Demonstrates a technical aptitude and superior written/verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills with an ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • High energy, positive attitude and ability to take initiative and build rapport easily
  • Fluency in foreign languages and/or international experiences - study abroad or being an international student, international travel, sales experience a PLUS! Experience in K-12 sales also a PLUS
