Company Overview

Technology has made the world more connected, fundamentally changing how we live, work and interact; yet traditional schools have not evolved to prepare students for the 21st century. Replacing textbooks with tablets won’t be enough. We believe schools need a new foundation. That’s why we’re building a web-based school scheduling platform, that allows administrators to put master schedules and daily calendars into a single cloud-based system. We are creating the next generation of software for all K12 schools to fundamentally change how they design, measure and improve their schools.

Be the company’s first full-time sales hire, playing a flexible role in sales development, account management, and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify inbound leads, including initial follow-up, leading qualification calls, conducting product demos, providing price quotes, coordinating meetings with key decision makers and the Abl team, gathering customer information & documents throughout the approval process, and setting up everything for final closing
  • Close simpler deals on your own, and seamlessly handoff larger, more complex opportunities to the Head of Growth & Impact for closing
  • Document all customer information and interactions in the sales CRM tool
  • Work with Head of Growth & Impact to generate new leads and assist with marketing activities as needed
  • Create your own sales collateral, including product overviews, pitch decks, basic screencast videos, customer proposals, etc
  • Generate weekly and quarterly reports on the sales pipeline and key sales metrics

Qualifications

  • Extremely organized and prompt; quickly follow-up on all new leads and never let a lead fall through the cracks
  • 2+ years working in sales, customer success or another customer-facing role at an early stage software company, preferably enterprise SaaS
  • 2+ years working in K-12 education, especially interacting with school and district leaders
  • Consultative seller, deeply connecting with customers rather than working from a standardized script
  • Desire to work in a less structured sales environment and help lay the foundations of the company’s first sales processes
  • Results focussed, eager to meet or exceed company revenue goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be equally comfortable with virtual sales calls (phone and video conference) and in-person customer meetings
  • Collaborative team member who thrives on working and learning at a fast pace
