How to Apply:

We’ve listed a number of questions here. If you’re interested to apply, then please answer them and attach your resume and LinkedIn URL. (These answers will serve as a cover letter.)

For applicants that pass the initial screen, we’ll invite you to a brief call. In that call we'll discuss the role in more detail. In particular, please understand that we may ask you a few more problem questions like the three at the end of this set of questions. You should be able to easily answer questions 5, 6 and 7 below in under a minute or two. Your analytical ability is key for this role.

The Questions:

1- Write three sentences that describe you, what you aspire to and why we should hire you.

2- What similar work have you done before? Where are you located? What are your expectations for pay? Are you open and able to consider a full-time role? When are you available to begin work?

3- In three sentences or less make a compelling argument that we should end the quarantine now. In three more sentences (or less) argue the opposite. Feel free to take a different approach to this question with the same subject matter.

4- You want to create a relative reference to a spreadsheet cell so that the column will stay fixed and the row will float/adjust as the formula is copy/pasted elsewhere. How do you achieve that in google sheets and/or excel? You have no more than 10 characters to shorthand your answer. Bonus if you can do it in a single character.

5- A pot and a pan cost $11.00 altogether. The pot costs $10 more than the pan. How much does the pan cost?

6- If it takes 7 kids 7 minutes to eat 7 hot dogs then how long would it take 100 kids to eat 100 hot dogs?

7- In a petri dish, one spore of mold is placed in the middle. Every day, the mold doubles in size. In 20 days, the mold finally reaches the edge of the petri dish. How long would it take for the mold to cover half the dish?
