Sales Associate

Infinite Focus is a digital self-regulation and emotional health tool for youth. Our software teaches young people how to manage and self-regulate their emotions to create happy, healthy life experiences. We were recognized as one of the most promising startups in Baltimore City. Our company was founded by a former public educator. We just closed a seed round and are ready to hire our founding team. The founding team will be critical to helping the company grow by establishing culture, creating the initial client base, and discovering a repeatable and scalable model. 

We’re excited to hire an energetic and well-organized Sales Associate. The successful candidate will be persuasive, innovative, dedicated, and experienced in sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all purchase-related communication with a school or district administrator who is considering Infinite Focus, acting as their main point of contact at Infinite Focus
  • Lead generation, prospecting, and developing and closing new sales opportunities with schools, districts and after-school programs
  • Guide potential customers through the purchase process by responding to questions, creating quotes and purchase agreements, and problem-solving purchasing hurdles
  • Follow up with customers as they advance through the sales process, customizing emails as necessary
  • Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management level (in school districts, schools and youth organizations)
  • Understand and effectively communicate the company's value prop, tech, process, and current partnerships
  • Ensure the timely processing of leads and assist with and support sales campaigns
  • Represent company at marketing events and conferences (virtual and eventually in-person)
  • Conduct web application product demonstrations virtually using screen share technology
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Reports to CEO

Note that as a startup, there will be times when we need to do things outside of the scope of our roles in order to keep the business moving forward. This is an opportunity to learn how businesses are started, grown, and scaled across all business functions.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in education or edtech sales, selling software or SaaS products preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets.
  • Proficient in the use of CRM (Hubspot, etc) and other sales enablement or prospecting tools (e.g. Outreach)
  • Ability to manage a high volume of emails and tasks, with strong prioritization and organizational skills
  • Excellent written communication skills to engage and follow-up with customers
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
