In this job you will:

  • Manage customer communication with EdSurge’s advertising and jobs clients - this will include activities such as collaborating around weekly copy for the EdSurge newsletters.
  • Handle day-to-day operations for all jobs and advertising products including calendar management, jobs board oversight, and KPI reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the newsletter publishing by collaborating with the EdSurge Sales Team and Editorial Team to ensure weekly newsletters are published with ad specs.
  • Track and analyze key internal metrics to that drive decisions.
  • Triage inquiries from a diverse set of customers and readers.

You're a great fit for this role if...

  • Your friends would describe you as “The Organized One”. You have impeccable attention to detail.
  • You have experience working with a diversity of sales and marketing tools (e.g. Marketo, Zendesk, Salesforce, etc.) and the ability to ramp up quickly using new tools.
  • You’re a strong writer and communicator with an eye for great advertising content.
  • You can see a project through from start to finish and provide timely follow up.
  • You’re comfortable interacting with customers via email, and can do so with professionalism and ease.
  • You have advertising, media planning, inside sales or customer service experience.
  • You have a knack for pulling insights from data and you’re well on your way to claiming expertise in Excel (and not too shabby with Google Analytics either).
  • You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment (startups, new schools, nonprofit organizations) and love the flexibility it provides
  • You’re passionate about education.

EdSurge is based in Burlingame and Oakland in California (both offices are public transit-friendly). Local candidates preferred, though we will consider strong remote candidates. This is a permanent part-time role (approximately 20 hours per week). Compensation is $20-25 per hour, based on experience.
