K-12 Sales Analyst at TeachBoost

TeachBoost is looking for a Sales Analyst to catalyze growth of our K12 teacher development products. As a Sales Analyst, you will play a large role in identifying market opportunities best suited for our sales efforts, and help the sales team pursue them. You will work directly with our CEO to achieve our ambitious growth goals for TeachBoost Coach, our latest product focused on instructional coaching and teacher leaders.

Instructional Coaching is a fast growing training strategy for states and school districts alike. TeachBoost Coach is a CRM-like product to support the best practices of adult learning, while keeping coaches organized and telling the story of their impact. Many of the organizations who utilize coaches find it impossible to show the clear value they provide, and TeachBoost Coach solves that need while improving the efficiency of instructional coaches.

We are looking for someone excited to take on the challenge of working with a small team, being the eyes and ears reporting back on the best areas to focus and amplify our sales efforts. A large potential for growth exists for the right person who can demonstrate strong research, communication, and writing skills.

More specifically, you will:

  1. Conduct market research to identify teacher coaching and leadership initiatives run by states, non-profit organizations, and school districts.
  2. Investigate the funding streams that are utilized for these coaching initiatives.
  3. Gather contact information for key stakeholders at identified organizations that are likely candidates for our products.
  4. Craft and send outreach to those stakeholders at organizations to set up additional meetings.
  5. Become well versed in professional development (training) strategy in K12 states/districts to understand the key needs and requirements of those programs.
  6. Communicate back to sales and product teams the trends you identify.
  7. Occasionally attend events to support marketing and sales efforts.

You are:

  1. A self motivated person who can work independently on projects without frequent oversight. We’re a remote team, so this is critical.
  2. An excellent researcher, able to synthesize vast amounts of raw information into clear, concise, actionable insights.
  3. A strategic thinker who can separate “signal” from “noise” to identify the best place to focus our limited sales resources.
  4. A clear communicator with strong writing skills who can create compelling and successful outreach campaigns.
  5. Passionate about education and the impact that great teachers can have on students.

In the past, you have:

  1. Attained a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field (communication, social science, writing and humanities, etc) or equivalent work experience.
  2. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Bonuses:

  1. Experience in the K12 sector.
  2. Former educator, either in the classroom or as a principal/instructional leader.
  3. Understanding of the professional development and teacher effectiveness space.
  4. Intermediate experience with software tools like Microsoft Excel, Google Drive products, Hubspot, and/or other CRM like tools.
