Research Associate, EdSurge Research

International Society of Technology in Education - Multiple Locations or Remote - Full time

The EdSurge Research Associate will directly support research projects and contribute to improving internal processes. They will perform core research activities, such as synthesizing academic and non-academic literature and helping to administer focus groups and interview protocols. They will also support research and storytelling projects by developing communications strategy, tracking the impact of stories and projects, and communicating with research participants. The Research Associate may lead or contribute to a variety of other tasks—including developing research approaches, planning research projects, creating assets and collateral for the EdSurge Research team and working with contributing writers—as needed. The Research Associate should be detail oriented, a quick learner, and have experience doing independent research in the education space. They should feel comfortable working independently and collaboratively, and should be able to—and excited to—adapt as needs change. Passion for education and EdSurge Research’s mission of making sense of complex education and edtech issues is a must.

This is a specialist level role, which utilizes specific skill sets and knowledge; and understands implications of internal and external policies and procedures that impact their position. The work involves partnerships with co-workers, members, vendors, and other external groups, and requires the exercise of discretion and judgment, with moderate supervision. This position may also require the ability to work on projects of a highly confidential and sensitive nature and interface with internal and external stakeholders across various levels.
