We are looking for a passionate Regional Director of Ed-tech Partnerships to help ensure that Academic Approach grows nationally as a premier education provider. To date, Academic Approach has grown rapidly over the last 15 years through word of mouth referrals in Chicago, Chicago Suburbs, Michigan, New York and Boston and you will be ideally positioned to build upon this momentum in other areas of the country.

The Position: Regional Director of Edtech Partnerships

As our Regional Director of Edtech Partnerships, you will be responsible for representing Academic Approach's proprietary software, MyAcademicApproach.com, and its associated professional development in a territory of states. You will be the driving force behind our software revenue goals through your focus and experience on enterprise sales to school districts, schools, charter schools, private schools, parochial schools, and various organizations.

You will report directly to Senior Leadership. Additionally, you will develop a strong working relationship with our Executive Director of School Programs, our Director of School Partnerships, and our Executive Director of Education as it relates to your sales and retention efforts. You will be a leader on the Academic Approach team and greatly valued for driving and growing company sales.

Though our main offices are in Chicago, the location for this role is flexible.

As the Regional Director, you will need to have the following skills and characteristics:

  • You are driven by a mission to ensure clear, effective consultative software sales to potential school partners
  • You have outstanding knowledge of the K12 education industry
  • You are a skilled K12 software sales strategist with an existing list of connections in K12 districts that are ready and willing to take your phone call and respond to your email
  • You are a results driven thinker with detailed attention to sales goals and metrics and a commitment to achieving sales goals
  • You have an outstanding ability to build and develop relationships with potential customers
  • You have the commitment to reach out, follow up, and close sales with potential school partners
  • You have the problem-solving resourcefulness and experience to build a sales pipeline
  • You are reflective and eager to analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales strategy
  • You proactively look for opportunities to build revenue and retain school clients
  • You are a self-starter that is confident in their outside and inside selling capabilities
  • You are a great communicator

As the Regional Director, you will need to have the following experience for the role:

  • 3+ years in edtech enterprise sales
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Experience monitoring sales metrics and reporting out to senior leadership
  • Proven track record of developing and meeting sales goals
  • Positive relationships with schools and school districts
  • Experience working with SalesForce, CRMs, and with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience working in a school or school district is a plus
  • Experience managing a sales team is a plus

As the Regional Director, you will have the following job responsibilities:

  • Work with Senior Leadership to develop a sales strategy to expand market penetration and meet revenue goals in targeted states
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by using a consultative selling approach
  • Execute outside and inside sales strategy
  • Promote a positive working culture and frequently communicate and collaborate with various Academic Approach departments
  • 50% travel required
