Quill.org’s free online tools help low-income 4th-12th grade students become strong writers and critical thinkers. Teachers are provided with free access to our research-based curriculum, and students are provided with immediate feedback on their writing, enabling them to revise their work and quickly improve their skills.

There are 30 million low-income K-12 students in the United States who struggle with basic writing, one of the most important skills people need to improve reading comprehension and advance critical thinking. Our goal is to help at least 10 million low-income students become strong writers and critical thinkers within the next five years, and we have already helped 7 million students by enabling students to write and receive feedback on more than a billion sentences!

As a Partnerships Specialist- Inside Sales, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Quill’s customer base. Your responsibilities will include generating potential leads, account research, demoing Quill’s products and services to prospective customers, facilitating school sales and renewals, and serving as an accounts receivable lead. You will work in collaboration with the Director of District Partnerships and the partnerships team to achieve quarterly and yearly revenue goals.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for K-12 education, customer satisfaction, and experience working with technology. Candidates for this role must have previous edtech sales experience. Candidates can be fully remote (preferably located in Eastern or Central time zones). This position has an expected start date of December 2022 or January 2023.

Base compensation for this full-time position ranges between $50,000 and $70,000 based on experience, with on-target earnings of $70,000- $110,000, with no cap on commissions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Researching and qualifying new leads
  • Performing effective demos to prospective school and district customers
  • Creating proposals, invoices, and following up with prospective customers
  • Closing sales and achieving quotas
  • Cultivating lasting relationships with school and district administrators to grow customer loyalty
  • Working collaboratively with sales, services, and support teams to ensure a cohesive experience for school customers

Required Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience in a sales/business development, account manager, or similar sales role
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the K-12 educational landscape
    • K-12 teaching experience preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Collaborative and growth mindset
  • Experience working with CRM or CSM software
