BellXcel is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our growing Product Engineering team responsible for enhancing BellXcel’s enterprise platform. The Quality Assurance Manager will report directly to the VP of Product Engineering and will be responsible for design and oversight of BellXcel’s quality engineering practices for both mobile and web applications.
Success in this role requires high level of expertise in developing and executing quality assurance best practices relative to SaaS based businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a dedicated quality assurance team comprised of internal and/or external resources.
- Manage testing processes for function, compatibility, integration, regression and performance; Ensure quality practices across the development and release process.
- Manage test documentation and test plans; provide quality review and input to user stories, project plans, and technical requirements.
- Oversee test automation process to ensure acceptable levels of coverage across the application.
- Train staff on quality procedures and best practices.
- Develop, update and maintain browser and device compatibility matrices using internal analytics and national trend data.
- Develop and execute performance testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure the applications meet minimum benchmarks.
- Participate in agile ceremonies as a key contributor to the Scrum process.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years of professional hands-on experience managing a QA functional team.
- Experience with offshore and nearshore support models.
- Experience developing and executing test plans within software development process for one or more SaaS based products.
- Demonstrated experience and familiarity with the following technologies:
- Zephyr or equivalent test case management software
- Cucumber test automation or similar technologies
- Jmeter or other tools for performance testing
- SonarCloud source code scanning
- Browserstack for mobile device testing
- Extreme attention to detail with strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Preferred: Experience testing complex system interactions with 3rd party systems such as Salesforce or other integrations.
- Preferred: Experience with Stripe or similar eCommerce applications.
Education
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
