The full suite of next-generation courses on the ASUPD roadmap will utilize adaptive technologies to meet students where they are with fully personalized learning and individualized pacing. Additionally, these courses will feature entirely custom experiential learning environments that are built leveraging the most engaging and immersive technologies to design a discovery-based, learner outcome-centered, approach. We are looking for a skilled, organized, and tenacious Project Manager to join our growing product development team. This Project Manager will work with the product management, UX, design, and curriculum teams to manage projects related to the development of learning products for ASU Prep Digital and ASU Preparatory Academy.

The Project Manager will:

  • Report to the Director of Product Management
  • Work closely and collaboratively with all stakeholders to plan, direct, organize, and execute with UX, design and engineering project requirements in mind
  • Be responsible for the on-budget, on-time, and on-scope delivery of course product features and improvement projects
  • Work closely with other curriculum project managers, who manage the course content team projects, to coordinate deliverables and project needs from the UX, design, and engineering teams

Our product development team is passionate about improving outcomes for students and disrupting the education space, but we also try to have a little fun while doing it! We are looking for someone who is extremely organized, has experience managing product development projects, is able to track and manage a project budget, has experience giving high-level project updates to c-suite level leadership, and does not take themselves too seriously.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or related field
  • Five (5) years of project management or related experience
  • Project Management or Scrum Master certification preferred, but not required
  • Experience managing multiple, complex, technology-based projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with project management in education highly preferred, but not required.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, develop, implement, and manage a project team through complete task definitions and work requirement identification and assignments
  • Work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders to define project scope, strategy, budget, and outcomes; identify critical resource expertise and target appropriate internal and/or external sources to ensure optimal outcome(s)
  • Establish and continually manage project expectations with team through consistent monitoring to mitigate project risk; assign tasks and identify issues for resolution to ensure optimal team effectiveness
  • Prepare and maintain all project status reports and schedules; track milestones and deliverables, critical paths and dependencies; reassess expectations as needed in consideration of project progress and outcomes
  • Respond to all inquiries regarding project status; prepare and respond to all regulatory reporting and filings to ensure compliance
  • Manage, coach, and supervise all project team members, both internal and contracted to ensure optimal outcomes; builds, develops, and maintains relationships vital to project success
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders, leadership, and other related staff to define and identify all required project infrastructure including, but not limited to: space, build/reconfiguration of facilities, equipment, technology and infrastructure to ensure timely availability for successful launch and ongoing project operations
  • Plan and determine resource needs for successful completion of project. prepare all post-project reports, budget allocations and summaries and filings to ensure timely dissemination of information to all interested parties

  • Strong skill in stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of K-12 school setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge with of multiple project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of standard project management and change management practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge in clarifying roles and responsibilities to ensure comprehension of expectations and ability to take action to mitigate conflict
  • Demonstrated knowledge and abilities with industry standard project management software
