About the PositionDigital Promise Global supports educators integrating computational thinking (CT) into all subject areas to amplify and enrich lessons and schools developing inclusive computational thinking pathways for all students. Our work draws from established and emerging learning sciences research to explain, advocate for, and support CT to make these vital skills accessible to all educators and learners.

The Project Director will be part of the the Learning Experience Design initiative, a portfolio of projects that engage with schools and educators to transform learning experiences and to empower the next generation of creators and change makers. Through vital partnerships with schools, as well as researchers, companies, and peer organizations we design and publish resources for practitioners and advocate for powerful learning experiences. This position will report to the Director of Learning Experience Design.


  • Support development and publication of CT resources for educators, students, and other audiences as needed.
  • Design and lead a blended professional learning community for integrating CT into next generation science, with over 75 middle school science teachers from five school districts across the United States.
  • Design and lead professional learning workshops (in person and online) on CT, both in a generalized context and for the integration of CT into any academic discipline.
  • Revise and/or create educator micro-credentials to recognize educator competencies in integrating CT into their practice.
  • Coach educators, integrating feedback and data for continuous improvement.
  • Advise school leaders on the development of computational thinking programs.
  • Coordinate project activities and manage relationships with key school district partners.
  • Manage project budgets.
  • Build and maintain connections to national and international CT and computer science education community, networks, and partners.
  • Advocate for inclusive and integrated computational thinking with researchers, practitioners, developers, and education leaders, both internally and externally.


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in in Education or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in K-12 education, preferably as both a classroom teacher and an administrator or coach.
  • Experience with professional development and coaching for teachers and school leaders.
  • Project management and leadership experience, working with multiple stakeholders to develop and meet ambitious milestones.
  • Experience managing others a plus (this position does not have direct reports to start, but may over time).
  • Experience working closely with a geographically dispersed team a plus.
  • Experience managing high-value partnerships.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% time, as required, to school and district sites and national conferences.
  • Stellar organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage competing tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions
  • Willingness to take initiative and see tasks through to completion
  • A passion for education, a team mentality, creativity, and a positive “can-do,” “yes-and” spirit
