Program Operations Manager

Education Board Partners - Washington D.C., District of Columbia or Remote - Full time

The Program Operations Manager will provide high-quality programmatic and administrative support to the Education Board Partners’ (EBP) Program Team, assisting with the planning, implementing, and evaluation of their many projects across the country. This person will:

Support EBP’s programs

  • Develop, implement, and track multiple, and sometimes simultaneous, project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure project outcomes
  • Assist with scheduling, organizing, and, at times, participating in program-related meetings internally and externally
  • Communicate with clients and partners to keep programs and projects on track, on time, and achieving outcomes
  • Manage the process of administering our board diagnostics and evaluation surveys and organize data to share with team and clients
  • Assist with conference registration and travel logistics

Support EBP’s internal processes

  • Manage the process of turning proposals into contracts, enabling parties to sign contracts, and maintaining systems with updated information on clients and contracts
  • Manage team’s use of Expensify to track and monitor expenses
  • Manage team’s use of Dropbox, Salesforce, and our customized project management system

Support event planning

  • Manage event logistics and coordinate content for program trainings and other events
  • Serve as liaison for co-sponsored events with other organizations, providing support required from the EBP side and disseminating necessary communication to the team
  • Gather and evaluate event participation and impact data

  • Exceptional project manager: You excel at designing, organizing and coordinating the details that enable high-quality work – you are someone who doesn’t let things fall through the cracks and likes supporting others so that everyone is operating at their best
  • Data orientation: You are comfortable working with simple systems and pulling, organizing, and clearly summarizing basic qualitative and quantitative information
  • Relationship builder: You value and are good at cultivating strong relationships internally and externally
  • Collaborative, self-starting and adaptable: You are a team player, you enjoy working with a high energy, hard working, and slightly irreverent team, and you don’t mind having lots of balls in the air at all times

Additionally, we need someone who has:

  • Been responsible for managing complex projects in a fast-changing environment with various stakeholders, deadlines and deliverables
  • Had success in a client or customer facing role
  • The ability to work independently and flexibly (we are 90% virtual, 10% in person)
  • Developed a familiarity with the national education reform landscape (preferred but not required)
