Curriculum/Program Developer

The Curriculum/Program Developer will work with the product development team to conceptualize, develop and write cutting-edge, research-based social and emotional learning programs, products, and supporting materials for elementary schools and other educational settings.

The ideal candidate will be collaborative and able to work independently as need. This role requires both creativity, and overall strong detail-oriented and organizational skills. This person must have excellent writing and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Support Senior Program Developer on development projects
  • Develop and write program content, to reflect input from research experts and practitioners.

  • Assist with program design and conceptualization, including pedagogical strategies.
  • Collaborate with development team on all development functions.
  • Effectively provide information about CFC programs to a variety of audiences
  • Provide information or training to clients and other external individuals about the content of our program, which may include travel.
  • Contribute collaboratively with other department members in support of general program development content
  • Review and provide content for other departments (e.g. Marketing, Advocacy).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, required
  • 3-5 years of experience conceptualizing and writing curriculum and educational materials
  • 3-5 years of experience working with project/product teams and collaborating on work plans and timelines
  • 1-3 years of experience teaching children in school or other settings
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Education, or equivalent
