Founded in 2011, GOA offers passion-based online courses for high school students and high-quality professional learning for teachers and school leaders. We are an international remote team of 21 full-time staff members.

About the Role

The Program Assistant supports the administration of all student and professional learning programming at GOA. The Program Assistant supports the Program Manager in meeting program management goals and executing key tasks. This role is both operational and relational: in addition to ensuring GOA programs are effective and efficient in their operation, the Program Assistant interacts with GOA staff, teachers, and external stakeholders (school staff, families, students, etc). The Program Assistant reports to the Chief Program Officer.

GOA is an organization preparing for significant growth and expansion over the next five years. We have set a goal of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of program management through clear goal-setting, thoughtful review, and revisions aligned to our mission and growth goals. The person in the Program Assistant role will be eager to master our current program management processes in order to improve them.

What You Will Do

  • Be an active, collaborative member of the program management team, supporting the Program Manager and Chief Program Officer in meeting program management goals and executing on key processes, including launching academic terms, distributing grade reports, and student survey distribution and processing.
  • Oversee enrollment management in Student and Professional Learning programs: sectioning courses, managing our drop/add and waitlist processes, and fulfilling bulk enrollment requests.
  • Respond to inquiries that come in through the organization’s general support email and phone in a timely and professional manner. Work in partnership with colleagues across the organization to ensure that the correct information is shared with inquiring parties.
  • Run reports and work with bulk data in Salesforce and Pardot.
  • Provide technical support to GOA teachers in our Slack community.
  • Lead program management of GOA’s Summer Programs (two overlapping terms, June-August 2023).
  • Assist the Program Manager in the ongoing review, documentation, and improvement of GOA program management processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing programs and/or complex projects using online platforms. (Experience with Salesforce, Canvas LMS, Monday.com, and/or Freshdesk is a plus, but not required. We will provide training in these tools.)
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in writing.
  • Experience troubleshooting problems by finding and implementing solutions.
  • Experience working on a remote team is preferred, but not required.

This is a full-time, remote position with a competitive benefits package (medical, dental, and vision and 401k). The GOA team travels two or three times a year for in-person staff retreats and events. We are a global organization, and the person in this role occasionally will be expected to be flexible in adjusting their working hours to provide support outside of normal business hours (evenings/weekends).
