SUMMARY STATEMENT:

This position is part of a dynamic, creative team that creates and delivers best in class professional development for curricula developed by the Museum of Science. The position is a blend of the development and delivery of virtual and face-to-face workshops and resources for education professionals. This position will be an experienced adult learning facilitator with knowledge of best practices in adopting hands-on STEM curriculum in the classroom. The Professional Development Manager will work to prepare educators to implement MOS STEM curriculum and support active implementations and the sales team as they work with customers adopting our curriculum. The position will report into the Senior Director, Operations and Professional Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver, on average, 4-5 face-to-face professional development workshops per month nationally
  • Deliver, on average, 10-12 virtual professional development workshops per month
  • Travel requirement for this position is on average 30% of the time

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday, 9-5, 40hrs/week

REPORTS TO:

Senior Director, Operations & Professional Development

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's of Science or Arts Degree
  • 2 or more years of education, teaching and/or professional development experience
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver meaningful professional development experiences for teachers
  • Understanding of the PreK-8 school environment, curricular needs, and the needs of teachers, administrators, and coaches
  • Experience delivering high-quality presentations
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience managing customer accounts of varying sizes

STARTING SALARY:

Exempt (Salaried). $60,000 - $65,000
