The Product Marketing Manager, Learning Solutions is responsible for driving product marketing strategy, building launch plans, developing financial and pricing models and driving growth for Learning Solutions Institutional Products. This role leverages their passion for education and an understanding of marketing, sales and product development to provide strategic marketing direction and innovative solutions to grow the business. The Product Marketing Manager functions as the expert on the competitive landscape and partners with cross-functional stake holders to monitor and improve K12 performance through innovative market launches. Responsibilities include developing a clear understanding of the market, our products and product roadmap, product marketing leadership, communication and collaboration across departments to support product development in creating innovative new products and developing first class go to market strategies and plans.

  • Responsible for driving market and competitive research, defining market needs, and competitive analysis for Institutional products in K-12 education space.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product development to bring the voice of the customer to everything you do
  • Defining Product positioning and messaging for key product categories and launches
  • Drive go to market strategy in conjunction with product management, sales, and marketing
  • Pull client research, feedback, and internal recommendations into actionable marketing launch plans
  • Understand and analyze user needs in an ongoing manner, and communicate them effectively to stakeholders
  • Build business cases and models for investments, and secure buy-in, funding, and approval, and identify product-line P&L targets
  • Coordinate training of sales, marketing, client service, professional development on new / updated products
  • Lead cross functional product launch teams and serve as product marketing point of contact to ensure successful launches
  • Lead creation of launch plans and annual product marketing plans working with marketing functional experts and support teams including demand generation, marketing communications, events
  • Develop and execute highly targeted, effective go-to-market and annual marketing plans
  • Gather marketing outcomes, pipeline, revenue data for relevant products to track and report outcomes
  • Build dashboards and report on progress
  • Make data-informed decisions to optimize in-market product performance across all phases of the customer journey
  • Provide expertise in product marketing within the marketing organization and cross-departmentally

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and
  • Five (5) years of progressive product marketing experience: to include balancing a variety of products OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time (minimal if any e.g. team building events)
  • Ability to clear required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience managing a P&L (profit and loss)
  • Financial analysis
  • Online education industry experience
