Product Marketing Manager, K-12 Education - - San Francisco, California or Remote - Full time

We are building open K-12 enterprise solutions to deliver world-class CRM platform solutions to this vital yet underserved market. is looking for a strategic, resourceful, fun-loving product marketer with a passion for K-12 / edtech and B2B performance marketing (ideally both!) to drive go-to-market strategy, execution, and messaging for technology solutions to help revolutionize the K-12 market. The ideal candidate has experience creating and executing digital, event, and content marketing campaigns to both raise awareness and generate leads with K-12 decision-makers.

The K-12 team is an early- to mid-stage startup within – we’re small but are seeing real market momentum. This role is critical in accelerating our growth in both platform adoption and revenue, and a chance for the right person to not only drive end-to-end marketing programs but also to meaningfully inform overall strategy.

Primary Responsibilities: What Your Day Looks Like

  • Partner with Product Management ( & to understand the overall K-12 industry & product strategy. Translate functionality & benefits into compelling marketing solution messages. Develop & execute creative go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with Content, Campaigns, Digital and Field Marketing teams to define & drive innovative awareness and demand campaigns and events strategies to support business objectives & build pipe.
  • Execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to generate leads. Track ROI across channels & adjust/scale marketing spends & tactics accordingly.
  • Develop top-of-funnel strategies & content to drive greater awareness & credibility/thought leadership of Salesforce in K-12.
  • Build--and work cross functionally to execute on--product launch & sustaining plans that sync with business & revenue goals and align with pipeline generation targets.
  • Develop customer-facing materials that clearly articulate the value of our platform. Deliver webinars, data sheets, solution guides, demo videos, and other content for all funnel stages. Create visionary and compelling customer-facing presentations.
  • Enable a growing K-12 sales team with messaging, sales plays, cheat sheets, FAQs, 1-sheeters, success stories, presentations, competitive intel, and more.
  • Source & capture customer successes via blogs, case studies, and videos.
  • Optimize email campaigns across entire funnel, w/ corporate marketing, sales, & customer success teams; segmenting & enriching mailables by target audience.
  • Support our (& our ecosystem’s) presence at 3rd-party education/edtech events, incl. speaker submissions.
  • Confidently deliver presentations to audiences of all sizes (ranging from one person to hundreds of people).
  • Maintain an Editorial Calendar, aligned to quarterly themes, & drafting/editing related content incl. social media.
  • Activate our robust partner ecosystem to help spread the word about Salesforce’s capabilities in K-12.
  • Run point on’s K-12 website updates.

Professional Experience/Skills Required:

  • 4+ years of full-time experience in marketing, message development, product go-to-market, email marketing, content marketing, digital advertising, social, and/or branding within a high tech/ed tech company
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (MBA preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative products, preferably with familiarity of the cloud/SaaS and CRM
  • Basic fluency with Salesforce solutions, esp. Sales Cloud, Pardot, and reports/dashboards
  • Substantive knowledge of K-12 education market (strongly preferred), incl. buyer/user pain points & competitive landscape
  • Top-notch messaging, positioning, and storytelling, with experience crafting compelling marketing content
  • Strong problem-solving skills; analytical orientation & facility with measuring program ROI
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Leadership & strategic decision-making: Can see the forest through the trees, and plan for obstacles around corners, in a dynamic environment. Can synthesize external (market) & internal (cross-business/vertical) information to yield breakthrough insights
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with a team-first personality
  • Scrappiness: a motivated, driven and self-starting attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative setting & to multi-task, take initiative, and manage time effectively; persuasive communicator to get buy-in from other teams
