The Product Marketing Manager, Competitive Intelligence helps our customers make the best decisions to improve teaching and learning in their schools, and helps our sales, marketing and product teams drive differentiation and growth. The role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating competitive intelligence, and presenting compelling information such as battle cards to internal teams.

The impact you’ll have:

  1. Monitoring: Set up alerts to systematically gather and distribute on competitor products. Analyze press coverage, job postings and other announcements and report on meaningful findings.
  2. Content: Perform competitive research via internal and external channels to understand our competitive landscape and develop key competitor battle-cards for agreed list of major products across the entire Curriculum Associates portfolio, with particular focus on in-depth review for Core Math product.
  3. Collaborate: Work with Product Marketing to develop compelling, actionable positioning, messaging and launch processes that differentiate our platform and products, backed by research and publicly available evidence.
  4. Consulting: provide on-time, high quality (well researched, easy-to-digest) responses to related sales requests. Display proficiency in managing & prioritizing competing requests.
  5. Knowledge Management: Maintain and optimize competitive asset library. Create compelling, consistent templates for battle cards, playbooks, and presentations across product lines. Lead cross functionally to develop process and manage schedule for updating materials with Product Marketing.
  6. Communication and Training: Partner with Sales Enablement team to develop and deliver ongoing sales training, ensure use of sales tools and programs to drive up our win rate. Share relevant content updates via internal newsletters or other tools.
  7. Measure Success: Track win rates against competitors, track content utilization, and update templates accordingly.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years professional experience
  • Mission driven, with deep interest in education
  • Dynamic, curious, self-starter - with the ability to put yourself in the shoes of a customer and a salesperson
  • Timely, reliable, consistent – able to operate at a fast pace AND ensure high-quality output that continually raises the bar
  • Outstanding written, visual, and verbal communication skills - Excel, PPT and documentation skills
  • Project management and collaboration skills - an internal communicator and team player
  • Investigative, with research skills and talent – combined with ability to focus on the core tasks
  • Competitive and ethical - familiar with regulations concerning competitive intelligence
  • Strong analytical skills – with ability to summarize complex information succinctly
  • Responsive, flexible, able to meet deadlines, prioritize and adapt to changing market conditions
