Product Marketing Manager

AVID’s headquarters is in San Diego, and there are three field offices in Orlando, Dallas, and Denver. These locations are a home base for over 1,100 part- and full-time employees, spanning a variety of departments, who all work together daily in pursuit of a dedicated mission that currently impacts the lives of more than 2 million students annually.

A key contributor to the organization is AVID’s Marketing Department, which is responsible for developing strong, consistent branding material (digital, print, and broadcast) that supports the message and mission of AVID.

The Marketing Department is currently looking for a strategic and collaborative Product Marketing Manager to join the team. Ideal candidates can plan and execute successful campaign launches for AVID’s ever-expanding array of products and services across all communication platforms. This individual is a skilled team player, who can effectively work with cross-functional teams to understand the needs of the organization, prioritize the focus, plan the action steps, ensure continuity across all messaging, and execute with fidelity.

The position’s main responsibilities include:

  • Lead portfolio go-to-market plans and execution that result in well-organized rollouts of AVID’s services and offerings. Work across internal teams to define product benefits and positioning, using messaging that is easy to understand, aligns across new and future products, and effectively drives expansion within existing schools and/or adoption of new school sites/educators.
  • Develop and deploy effective product marketing messaging and materials that equip customer-facing teams to educate our target audiences and drive growth, reach, and adoption.
  • Lead audience segmentation, customer persona development, and journey mapping. Provide guidance to Marketing team members on nurturing strategies and execution tactics.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to facilitate effective messaging tools, marketing, and sales collateral that will support our field teams in conversations with new and existing schools and grow a consistent understanding of AVID.
  • Working in partnership with various internal teams (Research; Divisional staff; Learning Programs, Products, and Services; Interaction Design; Creative Services; etc.), develop content to meet objectives for internal alignment and all educator-­facing communications, including print, digital, multimedia, and video assets.
