Product Marketing Manager

Aeries Software Inc. - Orange, California or Remote - Full time

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Superstar!

We’re looking for an empathetic, analytical, curious, and creative Product Marketing Manager to join a growing sales & marketing team as we usher in a new era at Aeries! Our ideal candidate is a great storyteller with a strong attention to detail who combines product knowledge with emotional intelligence. In support of our SIS market domination goals, the mission of this brand-new role will be to build the frameworks necessary to inform our product strategy and connect it to the tactics that drive success in sales, marketing, and customer experience.

All About Aeries

Aeries is a student information system (SIS) that serves millions of users throughout California and Texas. We are the fastest-growing SIS and are looking to accelerate that growth by increasing our sales in California and Texas. Our mission is to deliver data-driven, intuitive, and innovative solutions that empower communities to advance student success. Our vision at Aeries is to build a world where data empowers educators. We believe strongly in the supporting role of technology in education but recognize that there’s no replacement for the wisdom and determination of the real people supporting students’ academic successes every day. That’s why our goal is to build tools that allow educators to focus on what they do best: educating.

Aeries is a successful family-owned and operated SIS company that prioritizes quality of life, user experience, and long-term success of those we serve. We build strong, lasting, meaningful relationships with our 700+ customers and our 130 team members.

All About the Job

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to create guiding documents and frameworks that the product team can use to design features and functionality that address our end users primary concerns, to recommend new features or functionality that drive value, and to enable our sales, marketing, and customer experience teams with value propositions and messaging that accelerate our revenue growth.

Your mission

★Market intelligence. Deeply understand our buyers, who they are, how they buy, and their key buying criteria and process.

★Buyer journey. Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make.

★Competitive landscape. Deeply understand our competition and how they are positioned.

★Personas, product positioning and messaging. Understand, document, and explain what resonates with our target buyer personas.

★Sales & Marketing enablement. Educate our internal teams on the problems we solve for our buyers and users. Develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.

About You

You know our buyers better than they know themselves, including how they make their buying decisions. You also know our competitors like the back of your hand, including what they do today and what they plan to do in the future. You back up strategic insights with market analysis, trends, and competitive intelligence and then use that knowledge to recommend new products and features.

You possess the ability to grasp and present our product’s value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our buyers’ problems. You develop product positioning and messaging that clearly differentiates Aeries from its competition. You coordinate with our marketing team to develop innovative programs that drive demand, and you equip our sales team with the necessary information to drive revenue.

As a member of the Aeries leadership team, you enthusiastically collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that our buyer, market, competitive, and product intelligence is represented effectively and consistently and informs company strategy.
