Since launching in 2017, our online program has reached more than 17,000 people in more than 400 classrooms, as well as 50 organizations and companies, across almost 40 countries.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Product Manager to lead the design, development, and execution of our products. You will be responsible for developing our product roadmap and driving all phases of product planning and execution, including conceptualizing product components and features, and collaborating with our Research Director to leverage our rigorous research process to inform the design and iteration of our products. You will be responsible for ensuring that we achieve our strategic goals while staying on schedule and within budget.

As Product Manager, you will be expected to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where you will need to manage numerous projects effectively and reliably. You will be overseeing the development of multiple product-lines (including interactive online educational tools, in-person training content, and strategy "playbooks") for different sectors. You will be responsible for maintaining a consistent look and feel of our products, and for ensuring that best practices from research are cascading through our various products to form an integrated product-set.

The ideal candidate has a background in developing educational products, has strong UX/UI and A/B testing experience, and is an excellent writer. Familiarity with behavioral science research is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Manage projects through their full lifecycle by working closely with our Research, Design, QA, and Engineering team members and consultants to ensure that specifications, deadlines, and quantitative goals are met.
    • Build detailed specifications of our products.
    • Break down large projects into specific, actionable tasks.
    • Manage the design for wireframes and technology features.
    • Work with our research team to integrate ongoing research into product design and enhancement.
    • Create systems to make our product development process more efficient and scalable.
    • Leverage data to advocate for user needs in order to constantly adjust our prioritization of fixing bugs while launching new products and features.
  • UX/UI
    • Gather information about stakeholder needs and behaviors through regular user interviews and ongoing user feedback loops.
    • Combine market-derived insights with knowledge of our internal team and advisors to develop an accurate understanding of our customer segments. Communicate these insights to the team and integrate them into project plans and feature prioritization.
    • Maintain an obsessive focus on delivering the best experience for our users.
  • Content Development
    • Collaborate with our research team members and content advisors to plan and outline the concepts taught in our products.
    • Write, edit, and produce content in partnership with our product/research team and advisors.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in product management, ideally with a background in EdTech, Online Learning, and/or instructional design.
  • Experience developing educational products from ideation to deployment, while adhering to established budget and timeline.
  • Strong project management skills with experience coordinating cross-functional teams, ideally with experience using Agile principles.
  • Ability to empathize with our users and collaborate with Research, Design, QA, and Engineering to ensure that features meet user needs.
  • Experience conducting user interviews.
  • Strong UI/UX experience.
  • Strong ability to communicate decisions and issues to senior managers and cross-functional team members.
  • Passion and familiarity with behavioral science research is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with research teams and academics is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the online learning industry and competitive landscape is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with LMS integration is a bonus.
