Education.com is seeking a Product Manager who will lead a dedicated pod of engineers and designers to define, validate, build, and measure the impact of product innovations that delight kids, parents and teachers.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Design, and other cross-functional partners to ship web and mobile solutions that drive our company OKRs and advance our strategic product themes, making adjustments along the way based on the results of iterative experimentation and customer feedback. Your work will help young children thrive in learning, school, and life, both directly through hands-on learning activities and indirectly through adult caregiver guidance, support and resources.

This is a full-time position based in San Mateo, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Think Big: Translate underlying trends in early childhood education and customer needs and pain points into product innovations, and manage the end-to-end process of conceptualizing new products
  • Establish Shared Vision: Work across the company to build understanding and enthusiasm for the products that your team builds
  • Develop Customer Empathy: Develop deep empathy and intuition for children and caregivers through testing, research and observation, which will in turn ensure the success of the product experiences we build
  • Understand the Business: Grow a deep understanding of the value of Education.com to kids, parents, and teachers to inform the development and evaluation of potential new business models
  • Ruthlessly Prioritize: There is no shortage of great ideas. Identify the highest leverage projects and work cross functionally to advance our strategic product themes and achieve our company OKRs
  • Drive Teams to Product Success: Collaborate with cross-functional team members productively, engender psychological safety on your team, act as the glue between technical and non-technical teams, and drive to successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of product management experience, with 1-2 years’ experience working on B2C consumer products and services (web or mobile) at scale.
