The Product Manager will be responsible for ensuring that CFC develops the best products and programs for the market by managing the lifecycle of our products in partnership with other product managers and cross-functional product teams. This role will champion the user experience and develop strategies for delivering timely and compelling enhancements to products and services that improve usability, support program implementation, and engage customers. The primary focus for this role will be the educator professional development.

Primary Responsibilities Include

Product Strategy and Maintenance

  • Manage the lifecycle—discovery and innovation, new product planning, new product introduction, and post-launch product management
  • Co-create and manage the product roadmap from strategic product planning to tactical activities
  • Develop comprehensive product plans required to achieve business goals
  • Gather market requirements and work in collaboration with educational designers and research scientists to develop product requirements
  • Work with cross-departmental product teams to bring new products to market
  • Manage market research, gather customer insight, and facilitate UX research to inform the design and development process as well as ongoing product maintenance
  • Monitor market trends and provide recommendations for future success

Product Support

  • Provide internal staff with materials—such as talking points, sales scripts, product training, and white papers—to support their work with clients
  • Monitor key performance metrics and follow the product into the market to stay abreast of product performance. Identify trends and problems to inform the development of product enhancements, including regular updates to product resource websites
  • Collaborate with marketing managers to create strategies for go-to-market plans and ongoing promotions to support customer relationships and engagement with our products
  • Work with finance to manage inventory levels to match sales through end-of-life strategies

Market Research

  • Work with product team to design market research projects to assess customer attitudes to the current product range and new product introductions
  • Research and provide analysis of market trends, market influencers, competitors, and channels-to-market as a baseline for driving business strategy, product-line planning and development, innovation within products and services, and go-to-market plans

Project Management

  • Develop project and resource plans and manage budgets and timelines
  • Work closely with all departments and with outside vendors to make sure the product’s needs are fully coordinated and met

Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 4+ years of related experience in product/program management, working in both digital and physical spaces
  • Experience gathering and interpreting customer data and market research
  • Experience managing usability testing and knowledge of usability and web design concepts and techniques
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and human-centered design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Experience working in or with the education field (preschool–grade 12) including educator professional development
  • Knowledge of social-emotional learning
  • Experience with CRM, CMS, and LMS
  • Experience with SEO and digital marketing
