The Product Manager (Coding Product) will work to drive the strategy, roadmap, creation and delivery of K-12 computer science curriculum software. The Product Manager ensures that our products make a real difference in students’ lives, enabling them to engage with computer science education to prepare for the jobs of the future.

Our suite of project-based, standards-aligned courses for grades 4 to 12 harness the appeal of making video games to inspire student learning and interest in Computer Science and Coding Education (CS), Career and Technical Education (CTE), STEM Electives, and CORE subjects (using CS to enhance studies of Math, Science, History, English, or Spanish).

Primary Accountabilities

The Product Manager (Coding) will…

  • Oversee the launch of an engaging computer science education software for the K-12 market.
  • Build, maintain and communicate product visions and product roadmaps
  • Launch feature enhancements
  • Conduct usability testing, market analysis, and other research and discovery to enhance the product and its market positioning
  • Identify the products and product attributes that will continue to improve the learning experience and learning outcomes for students
  • Conduct competitive analysis and analyze internal and external data to identify the key product elements and experiences that keep us ahead of the competition
  • Facilitate and collect input from stakeholders (externally: administrators, teachers, students and parents; internally: Engineering, Instructional Design, Customer Service, Sales, Ed Services, Marketing, Operations) to build and prioritize product features and investments
  • Establish intra-team and cross-team collaboration throughout product design, launch and enhancement
  • Recognize and develop innovative concepts that keep us growing
  • Grow a new product line

Credentials, Experience, and Skills

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Education industry experience is preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge. Basic knowledge of coding languages; more advanced knowledge and/or a degree in Computer Science preferred
  • Proven experience in product management (4+ years); be sure to tell us what things you've accomplished
  • Working knowledge and experience with software product management and development approaches (Agile)
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative, creative, mission-driven (and visually inspiring) environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with marketing, research, engineering, and instructional design colleagues
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking, supporting your ability to make great product decisions
  • A thirst for educational innovation, while being up-to-date with the latest trends, policies and best practices in education and product management
  • Intellectual curiosity, an unstoppable desire to grow a business, and a positive attitude are a must.
